Yet again, a video attempting to uproot the life saving Office for Men’s Health Bill, has gone viral. It has hundreds of thousands of views and likes, and endless angry comments, in less than twelve hours. Because, who cares that American men lead in 13 of the top 15 causes of death, that they die more at every age than women, and have worse health outcomes in every racial, ethnic and socioeconomic group? Instead, here’s the familiar ‘women were excluded from clinical trials’ slogan, and another about male rats, and “something something, male bodies were centred” slop. Look - There are TEN federal, tax funded Offices for Women’s Health, and ZERO for men - despite men’s awful health outcomes. And yet, clearly one is still too many for low effort, narcissistic, rage bait grifters like Katie Couric.

For years, people have been fawning over the utopian idea of “a world run by women”. You see – If only women were sat in the seats of power, then all the world’s ills would melt away; because “men” are the problem, and women are the solution (or “future”), so no more questions. Such proponents of this thinly veiled female supremacy often point to countries like Rwanda; a one-of-a-kind country where about two thirds of the lower house are women – highlighting the country’s impressive outcomes within healthcare, education, poverty and child mortality. Intuitively, such an argument seems to make sense. Rwanda’s lower house has been majority female for more than a decade, and it’s true, many of the graphs of progress are trending in the right direction; poverty and child mortality are down, education is up, as is health insurance. So what’s not to like?

U.S. women in 2019 were FIVE TIMES more likely than women of 1984 to believe a man finds it "pleasurable" to be raped by a woman. This is what happens when we only tackle half the problem, and judging by this recently announced new policy, we still haven't learnt our lesson.

The latest Lysova (2024) study finds 53% of partner violence is bilateral, 31% is female to male, and 17% is male to female. Lysova replicated this finding SIXTY FOUR times, with ~185,000 people, across the US, UK, Australia, NZ, and Canada, (and 'others'); AND within large population samples, small community samples, university and college samples, clinical samples, and high school and middle school samples. The research is done. If you still think abuse is "gendered", then you are either: a) statistically illiterate, b) morally bankrupt, c) have some kind of financial interest, d) scared to admit the truth. That's it. In 2010 professor Murray Straus, founder of the field family violence research, and the world’s leading expert, presented more than 200 studies, taken over thirty years, that found ‘gender parity’ in victimhood of intimate partner violence. Two years later, in 2012, professor Sarah Desmarais, summarized 249 studies, showing that 21.6% of men, and 28.3% of women reported perpetrating violence in an intimate relationship. Two years after that, 2014, professor Martin Fiebert created a bibliography of 343 studies, that found 'women are as physically aggressive as men (or more)’ in intimate relationships. During this time, the world’s largest database of domestic violence data, the Partner Abuse State of Knowledge (PASK) summarized ONE THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED papers, and yup, the same. The PASK, took 117 statistical comparisons across 49 countries, and found that in 63% of comparisons, rates of violence by women toward male partners were higher (or the same) as men’s violence against female partners. Add to that, every single national survey ever done by the CDC (the NISVS) has found equal victimization rates too, and soon you will find yourself at the foot of a giant mountain of data, that nobody gives a fuck about. It’s just kindling. And if you ever present it, you will be serenaded with shrill shrieks and squeals, as the cult of outrage rolls into town. So I’ve given up trying to prove to you that intimate partner violence is not gendered, as if 1,700 papers, and the testimony of world leading experts won’t do it, nothing will. Instead I now ask – why does nobody believe the data? Why are we so scared to admit to something, that in scientific terms, is as obvious and mundane as ‘water is wet’. Why are we so afraid to simply say, that women really can do anything a man can, and yes, that includes intimate partner violence too. What do you think? ~ Straus Fiebert Desmarais

So interesting how discussions of ‘power’, rarely mention the soft power of who socialises children, and therefore the world. At its most extreme; is malevolent, narcissistic parenting like this, which often goes viral (110,000 likes) and IMO is tantamount to child abuse. Grim.

Here's the Education Select Committee during yesterday's ‘Reading for Pleasure’ inquiry. The panel, all white women, were asked by Jess Asato MP about boys, and if they had any advice on how to improve boys' literacy. Five blank faces in response. Their expert answer was no.

It's such a sad reflection of society today, that a mother can 'joke' about hating her own baby, because it turned out to be a boy aka "a little rapist". What kind of political and cultural landscape makes a mother feel this way about any child, let alone her own unborn son.

They deliberately hid the fact that men were similarly likely to experience abuse, as they were to perpetrate it (31% vs 35%). Imagine that, the Aus Government burying its own data on gender parity. Worse, this was a study authored by leading men’s health experts. Disgraceful.

An army of “masculinity experts” are going into our schools, to provide tax-funded, exorbitantly expensive lessons under the promise to exorcise our boys of their toxic masculinity, and/or misogyny. I was a boy once. And I 100% agree, a lot can be done to show our boys how to foster respectful, platonic relationships with girls. Now more than ever, that divide needs to be healed. But those who roll into schools with their “workshops”, often charging thousands of pounds, should be viewed with serious levels of skepticism, for they often leave the job half done. And that is – Nothing is done to teach girls to be similarly respectful of boys, nor to safeguard such boys from the abuses, both physical and sexual, that they so often experience too. Many of these “masculinity experts” with their chronic sense of moral superiority, are the modern day tobacco lobbyists; anti-science-snakeoil-salesmen, who bat away vast amounts of data that reveal them for who they are. Grifters. Grifters with misleading views of adolescent violence; who fill their pockets, and leave behind millions of vulnerable boys without help. Boys who are neglected in service of a dogmatic ideology, which point blank refuses to see them as equally important recipients of care and protection as girls. In my view, there are few people more shameful than those who leave vulnerable men without help, in order to further a political agenda; however, those who do the same to boys, surely are the very worst. So let us be clear – No child, of either sex, should be left without help. And no child is immune to holding harmful views of the other. Teach children respect, love, and self worth.
