Following his recent visit to Syria, Dr. Yasir Qadhi, an influential Muslim preacher based in Texas, offered a reflection on the country’s post-Assad transition and its current administration. He argued that Syria’s leadership should be evaluated through long-term strategic thinking rather than expectations of immediate perfection, particularly after more than a decade of war and over 50 years of oppressive Ba’athist rule. While emphasising that he is “not their defence lawyer,” he also made clear that he is also “not their critic.” Qadhi praised the overthrow of the Assad regime, highlighted what he described as the absence of a personality cult surrounding the current leadership, and called on Muslims to support Syria’s recovery through any lawful means available. He also urged people to overlook minor shortcomings, recognise the immense domestic and international challenges facing the country’s new administration, and pray for the leadership’s success in Syria.

Iraqi Shia politician and former MP in the Iraqi parliament, Faiq Sheikh Ali, claims that it was Iran who brought Al-Qaeda to Iraq after the US-led 2003 invasion to use them to fight against and pressure the Americans. Iran - a Shia Islamist theocracy - backed the Sunni militants by providing them with food, clothing and accommodation, and then allowed them to enter Iraq via Iran to destabilise the country.

In an interview with Al Jazeera, Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa said that, while relations with Iraq were improving, Syria was "taking precautions" for any possible threat emerging from Iraqi Shia militias connected to Iran's IRGC, proscribed as a terrorist organisation by the US, the UK and others.

Islamic custom mandates burial within 24 hours. So why did Iran wait 4 months to hold the funeral procession for its Supreme Leader? One word: Fear. The regime was terrified of secondary US/Israeli strikes. Now, they're trying to spin a massive delay into a theatrical "victory lap" next door in Iraq - but the optics betray their vulnerability. A Shia from Lebanon mocked Syrian Sunnis from the Bab al-Nahr neighbourhood of Hama last September. He vowed they'd never see it again. Two months later, Syria's rebels filmed their response from the same neighbourhood, inside a Hama free of Assad and his regime.

Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa said that Iran's strikes on Syria's Tanf military base had no effect as US forces were no longer there and "It's now empty desert. There's nothing there." In a November 2024 debate, Daniel Haqiqatjou continuously engaged in mudslinging against not only Dr Dr Tallha Abdulrazaq, but also against anyone critical of Iran. His position was, effectively, that you're either with Iran, or you're a Zionist. When Dr Abdulrazaq shot back that Haqiqatjou's own father worked for Boeing, part of the US's vast military-industrial complex, and provided weapons to Israel as it perpetrated its genocide in Gaza, Haqiqatjou had no response.

One of Iraq's most powerful Shia Islamist commanders linked to Iran and the IRGC, Hadi al-Amiri, has threatened to "take revenge" against Saudi Arabia after Riyadh and Washington launched joint airstrikes on Shia terrorists in Iraq. Amiri, the leader of the powerful Badr Organisation and a former Iraqi government minister, vowed vengeance and accused Saudi Arabia of being responsible for suicide bombings and explosions in Iraq in the past. As leader of Badr, Amiri is one of the most powerful men in the PMF, or Hashd al-Shaabi, and has repeatedly been touted as a possible inclusion to the US's Specially Designated Global Terrorist for his crimes against the Iraqi people (particularly Sunni Arabs) and for his close ties to the proscribed IRGC.

Case closed on Elon Musk's Islamophobia. He doesn’t even bother to deny it in his new interview with Zanny Minton Beddoes of The Economist: Zanny: Are you anti-Muslim? Elon: Um, I am I'm against having... If people are coming to a country with antithetical views, I am against that. I'm against uhhh, you know I'm, against... I'm against rape and murder, I'm against the imposition of rules and laws that are contrary to what we've come to accept in the West. And I think it's a crying shame that the sort of traditional media like you don't recognise this." Also, Musk doubled down on his praise of the widely panned film "Citizen Vigilante" which shows the eponymous vigilante killing an entire Muslim family at the end, including women and children.

Was Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa really a "former ISIS commander" as Zionist propaganda constantly paints him out to be? The War Journal's TheLevantAffair2 takes a look at this claim that is often spread by Zionists and ironically parroted by Iran's "Axis of Resistance" fanboys - both of whom want to see Syria slip back into war, chaos and triggering a new refugee crisis in Europe and beyond.

OLD BUT GOLD: In a November 2024 debate between our Dr Dr Tallha Abdulrazaq and controversial Shia Iranian preacher and YouTuber Daniel Haqiqatjou about Iran's criminal actions across the Muslim world, Haqiqatjou repeatedly refused to answer Dr Abdulrazaq's challenges on verified and documented Iranian sectarian cleansing campaigns against Sunni Arabs in Iraq and Syria. Instead, and in an attempt to distract the audience, Haqiqatjou went through Dr Abdulrazaq's old articles to find a "gotcha" moment - and bizarrely began defending temporary marriages to 9-year-old girls to Shia men in Iran and Iraq, claiming that this was "not paedophilia". Dr Abdulrazaq was having none of it. Watch the full debate on our YouTube channel. Link in the bio.

After the Syrian interior ministry announced today that they had stopped an illegal arms shipment being smuggled by Iranian agents to Hezbollah in Lebanon using oil trucks coming from Iraq to Syria's coast, Iraqi truckers were allegedly held on the Syrian side of the border in the hot summer sun and refused permission to cross back over to Iraq until they were sniffed for contraband and illegal weapons by the border unit's dog. However, the truckers complained that they were told that the dog was "sleeping" and that they'd have to wait in the sun while the dog finished its nap in the cool air-conditioned caravan.
