For ⭕️Faerie ❤️ Calling her an artist barely covers it. She did not simply make art. She made environments. Light, fabric, color, movement, paintings, installations, canopies, flags. She created entire worlds that people could enter, stand beneath, and experience. Then she came to X and did the same thing with words. She was a Jew and a lioness. She fought antisemitism and stood unapologetically for Israel and the Jewish people. She spoke for people whose voices were being crushed. She carried stories others ignored and demanded that the world pay attention. She was fierce without surrendering her tenderness. There were Shabbat candles. Torah. Humor. Nature. Warmth. Beauty. A wish for peace sent across the world from her paradise island in Thailand. She once wrote that she spent her working days “fighting my heart out here.” She did. Heart first. All of it. That is what made her special. She did not separate the artist from the fighter, the Jew from the lioness, or the lioness from the beautiful soul. They were all the same woman. One of her final gifts to us was a Shabbat blessing, wishing her friends peace and the company of those they loved. May that peace surround her now. May the light she created continue to find us in the dark. May her courage remain in everyone she strengthened. May her memory be a blessing. זכרונה לברכה The Jewish people have lost a lioness. The world has lost a genuine artist and a beautiful soul. And many of us have lost a friend.
