Tom Holland and Anne Hathaway on how they developed their onscreen mother-and-son relationship: Anne: “We had bounce right from the beginning.” Tom: “Immediately.” Anne: “So, we just liked each other. We have a lot of shared interests. We love film, we love sports, we love our families, so we just kind of never ran out of things to chat about. Still haven’t. And then the script, it was there. I mean, we had Chris Nolan adapting from Homer, so we were kind of like all good on the genius department.”

Tom Holland and Sadie Sink share their first impressions of each other: Tom: “This movie really sings because of the work that you did. So for me, when I met you for the first time, I met someone that was really eager to do the work, really excited to be a part of the world, and someone that I know is going to carry the responsibility with a lot of grace.” Sadie: “Tom is just like a natural born leader and I think exactly the kind of person you want in this role, leading this film. So I was very impressed by him since day one.”

Christopher Nolan on working with Tom Holland for the first time in ‘THE ODYSSEY’: “Tom Holland is an actor whose work I’ve admired for years, and I felt very confident, you know, he could take on this this coming-of-age story. But I have to say, he dazzled me with with his ability. He’s an extraordinary actor, beyond what I even hoped for or imagined. That’s such a thrill as a director when you you have somebody doing something even more than you saw in the character. He’s really a remarkable young actor.”
