quick spike: getting multiplayer editing working on diffs/edit with yjs + partykit. there's nothing first class for remote cursors/presence or collaborative undo yet, but this should work in a pinch. this is dope Pierre

more sync engine shenanigans. using CF's new oauth stuff to build a reactive kv editor with the cloudflare api. here it's syncing across chrome and safari, even though the kv api isn't reactive at all. instant reloads and everything.

unstable government: jev + claude type a terrible law. claude invents reactions and directs the set pieces. jev decides how each of 40 citizens responds. the town sim plays those choices out, then prints the disaster as tomorrow’s front page. fun.

new experiment: "smart" forms (for onboarding, wizards, etc) LLMs aren't just about chat based conversations; here I'm using an LLM/web search to infer form values while onboarding on to new app/service called Trellis. With just a name and company, it can guess some fields and values that can dramatically reduce the time to enter (and make it a little more delightful?) shoutout to Raindrop where I saw this first.

new experiment: your app/site should have a design laboratory, where you can tweak values and styles for a system, and also vibe natural language requests this feels like it's scratching a bigger idea and Paper is probably months (years?) ahead of the game

sneak-peek:🎈@partykit/react, the one framework to rule them all - Real-time React Server Components! - Keep business/rendering logic on the server, send UI over the wire in real-time - Zero API setup - one party per user, or per shared session, or even the whole world (scales to thousands of connections per instance) - Wire up your own reactive sources - Super fast "local" state, with ultra low latency syncing, powered by PartyKit - optional SSR / prerendering What would you build with this?

full stack ai agents --- what if you could get root access into the robot brain _while it's working_ and make changes? What would it look like? here's 9 minutes where I pitch building UIs for your robot butlers. very easy if your agent is already a server (which, of course, your durable object gives you for free) feel free to argue whether you should use SSR or SPAs or local first or the framework du jour or whatever. link to post in reply, live demo and code later. that's video 3 of the series, done and dusted.

callbacks with durable objects are weird (but it's also convenient to solve human-in-the-loop for ai agents) tl;dr - by defining callbacks as data, we can let durable objects "sleep" while it's waiting for a timer/email/webhook/phone call/whatever. demo borked a little bit, I blame openai, but it all stilkl worked. that's video 2. gnight!
