JJ and the staff were PISSED at Jake. LA called the perfect set to attack switching defense. Jake will have an open roll w/a pass coming from a good angle, but doesn't know the play and doesn't roll. LA then tries an inside seal Bron instead and gets what they want.

Josh Minott, known as the Lawn Mower for his energetic playing style, finally got real minutes this season and impressed. Brooklyn is expected to decline his option. LA should pursue. He's young, springy, a strong Wing Stopper, & despite wonky form is a solid 3PT shooter. A, C+, & A grade difficulty-adjusted shooting from the rim, midrange, & deep. A- Talent but F Optimization held his impact stats back. He's #4 in the NBA in Defensive Positional Versatility. A- Rim Protection, B- Help D, B+ Iso Defense, A Defensive Playmaking, A- Matchup Difficulty. Disruption and super switchy strong defense on- and off-ball, inside & outside. 📽️ If you want to have some fun 📽️

RE: the Perimeter Iso Defense Here's a sampling of Ayton iso defensive film. Lots of tough matchups and he's looking solid. He's staying in front well and getting a lot of strong contests off. He does a nice job not fouling.

As foretold, Luka is at an NBA career high rate of splitting the defense on his ball screens so far this season! He's shooting 8/10 + 3 FTs on 11 possessions doing so. Last night he did it the most we've seen in a game. That summer work is translating.
