The transmission on my Ford F150 started acting super weird. Shifting kind of clunky and tons of warning lights were coming on. Went to a regular mechanic and to the dealership getting quotes of $9000 and $12,000 respectively. Stopped by Eagle Transmission, these guys did the evaluation for free. Identified the problem and were able to change out an electronic components of the transmission, serviced the transmission, and saved me somewhere from $7500 to $10,500.

I’ll address the podcast that came out last week tomorrow. We are living in crazy times and there are way more important things for veterans to do than to be attacking one another with falsehoods, misrepresentations, paraphrasing, lies, and things taken out of context.

First, I wanna thank my teammates. Thank you for putting up with me. Thank you for helping shape a kid full of piss and vinegar. Thank you for doing your best to keep me out of trouble. Thank you for keeping me alive. To my superiors/commanders, I’m sorry for all you had to put up with. The middle age man version of me would’ve probably destroyed that kid that showed up to your team room. When you’re in the public eye, as I have been for some time now, you expect to be scrutinized. That comes with the territory. What you don’t expect is to have members of your own community rip apart painful stories that you’ve laid bare to the best of your ability. Stories that were corroborated by multiple people. Stories that passed legal review. Stories that passed extensive DOD review. Do I think the battle happened exactly the way I remember it 16 years later? No, I don’t. Which is why I addressed that in the introduction to my book. Scars and Stripes was originally called “Failure is Not Final” but the publisher thought we needed a more upbeat and catchy name. Name change notwithstanding, I’m proud of the book. I’m proud of the people I talk about in the book. I’m proud of my service. In this video I address some of the things the podcast charged me with. I know it will not satisfy them as they make their money by trying to bring people down with more followers than they possess. I also know it will not satisfy their most steadfast supporters. I look forward to hearing about 50 grenades from no name private accounts on pictures of my kids until the day I die. It’s not my first internet rodeo. For those of you are reasonable, I ask that you listen to what I have to say, assess whether it is more likely that I fabricated all this stuff and all the people around me and DOD just went along with it, or whether someone went through the book in the least gracious way possible in order to profit off of my name. For the first time in history, a Medal Of Honor recipient after a break in service has re-enlisted. Dakota Meyer earned the Medal of Honor for his heroic actions on Sept 8, 2009, in Ganjgal, Afghanistan. He braved intense enemy fire, making multiple trips to save 36 U.S. and Afghan troops, killing numerous Taliban insurgents recovering his fallen comrades.

Never in my life would I have thought I’d be laying a prosthetic leg on the desk of the United States President. President Trump cares deeply for our veterans. He fights for them more passionately than perhaps any other president in history. The sincerity and grace he showed each of these wounded heroes was absolutely remarkable. It’s undeniable that he is fighting not just for this country, but also for the men and women who have fought for it in uniform. Thank you Sebastian Górka for filming this and sharing it. You are the warrior diplomat that this country desperately needed.

These are some of toughest people conducting these rescue operations, and of course it is starting to rain again this afternoon. Simply amazing men and women on the ground doing anything and everything they can to save lives. We are lucky and grateful for the Sherriff, the Commissioner, the Constable, every Texan that has stepped up, all the Texas businesses, and the entire EMS and LEO community for their never ending commitment to their communities.
