In April 2008, Celtic found themselves 6 points behind Rangers with the Ibrox club having 2 games in hand. There were still 2 derby games to play and Celtic won both amid a run of 7 straight wins which saw them snatch the title on the last day at Tannadice.

For football connoisseurs, Franco Baresi was the quintessential Italian defender. Skilled, tough and with impeccable timing in the tackle. Winner of 6 titles & 3 European cups, he was recognised as one of the best defenders of his era. Sad to see him leave the stage at just 66.
