Rico opened up about his flamboyant stylist gimmick with Billy & Chuck and how some guys weren’t thrilled about working it: “No, it wasn’t the Billy and Chuck gimmick… It was my flamboyant… There were wrestlers that didn’t want to work with that gimmick. Caught Eric Bugenhagen (fka Rick Boogs) on today’s Insight with Chris Van Vliet still an absolute unit and full of energy! On his WrestleMania 38 quad tear that changed everything. “WrestleMania 38 did that go from the highest of highs to the lowest of lows… I was supposed to be like this documentary too like ‘oh yeah it’s being filmed all day’… and then I just like blow my tendon… My tendon was like ripped off the bone on both sides and ripped all the way through… My quad was too strong for the tendon and it was flexing so hard, it ripped the tendon totally off the bone.” That injury in the tag title match with Shinsuke Nakamura sidelined him big time, but dude bounced back stronger. 24 years ago today a fan ran in the ring and pushed Eddie Guerrero off a ladder mid-match with Rob Van Dam RVD said he was just trying to stay in the zone like “i was just thinking do they got it or do I need to do something? When asked about the best person he’s ever been in the ring with, here’s what he said: “Although Eddie probably was one of them, because even though our stuff that we did wasn’t long, him, Chris Benoit, I know that’s a no, but it’s just a fact, the intensity that he was was amazing to work with. Of course, The Headshrinkers, because they had to take us for the first year. The patience and the way that they taught us, and they never got frustrated. But the most significant, of course, would be Ron and Don Harris, because they’re the ones that got me started. Then it would have to be The Headshrinkers, because they had to teach us. And they literally taught us everything that they knew in a year…” He also shouted out Eddie Guerrero’s intensity, working with his sons, and more.
