Chase Burns gave up 7 runs in 1/3 IP tonight…. Chase holds his glove with the muscles of motor tract 5 so he has no choice but to tip his slider… He did it last time out vs the Yankees too but New York doesn’t seem to have this tell…. They missed it vs Severino yesterday too although they did take advantage of his wildness as he tried to mask it (he didn’t mask it). Here’s what happens every time a pitcher holds his glove with the muscles of motor tract 5…. There are dozens of pitchers that do this…..Some teams are really good at exploiting this and others have no clue it exists.

Jordan Walker used the muscles of motor tract 2 on his left side from opening day until April 15th…He was 21-64 (.328) with 8 HR’s and 19K’s during that stretch… He’s been using the muscles of motor tract 4 on his left side ever since…He’s 6-33 (.182) with 0 HR’s and 16K’s during this current stretch. Watch how differently Jordan’s body is working in each instance …The video on the left was his base hit vs Seattle today. Jordan could get back into MT2 at any time but he needs to know why he was ever in it in the first place.

Aaron Judge holds the bat with a closed pack position in his right elbow… Bobby Witt holds the bat with a closed pack position in his left elbow…. This means Judge’s left hip “turns his right hip” when he loads and his right hip “turns his left hip” when he swings…. It’s the opposite for Witt. His right hip “turns his left hip” when he loads and his left hip “turns his right hip” when he swings. An anatomist would simply tell you that Judge uses his TFL as his agonist muscle on his left side at load while Witt uses his TFL as his antagonist muscle on his load. Follow their hips in each instance and you’ll see what I mean… If you initiate your load with an active upper body, the feeling these guys get when they load is nothing like the feeling you get when you load.

Jesus Luzardo pitches vs the Red Sox tonight…. Luzardo has tipped his breaking ball from the stretch all season long…. There are a couple of guys in Red Sox uniforms that have feasted on this tell for the better part of a decade… Jesus has tried setting his hands at his chest, his abdomen, and his hips and none of it matters because he uses the muscles of motor tract 5…. I’m sure most MLB hitters have never heard of something called motor tract 5 but there are a lot of them know where to look to see something telling when a pitcher comes set. Fastball on left vs breaking ball on right

Jac Caglianone went 0-4 tonight and is now hitting ,194 with 2 HR’s in 67 AB’s…. Jac had 15 HR’s in the minors and was hitting .322 prior to his call up Jac has made a mindless change to his prehension recently and it’s completely changed how his front side moves when he swings… Jac usually uses motor tract 2 on the right side of his body but his change in prehension forces him to use motor tract 5…. Here’s how different his body moves because of it.
