Normally by this point in a ski season I will have hiked and skied #TheShoulder 50+ times. But today, 4/2, was my first (and 2nd) this season due to the calf injury combined with the lack of winter. I'm thankful that I was able to get in at least one virgin shoulder run in this season, and that winter decided to make an appearance.

We interrupt the snorkel powder skiing videos for run one of two in the Alta Ski Area Baldy Chutes today. This is the famous Main Chute, off of 11,068 foot Mount Baldy. Snow quality was extremely good. So fun I had to do it twice today.

Opening day at Alta Ski Area was great, especially considering the limited snow. It was a cruising Mambo day, waking up the ski legs after their long summer hibernation. I'm coming into this season a bit heavy, as is evidenced by my ski gear fitting a little more "snug." 😅 ⚖️

✅ 1st Chute I've NEVER seen anyone ski 1st Chute on Mount Baldy at Alta Ski Area. Yesterday I skied. I knew the snow would be crusty and not good, but it wasn't about quality skiing. It was about getting that item checked off the ski bucket list. Quite entertaining.
