A “legal” driver could be fine on the 15th hole and not on the 16th hole. It’s possible Rory’s club was non-conforming at the Masters. It’s also possible it became non-conforming after. Also, it’s guaranteed that other players were playing non-conforming drivers, because they always are. It’s just a bad system. Every driver should be tested every week, simple as that. This half measure just leads to this nonsense. BTW, your driver at home could be non conforming as well. You would never know.

With respect to Bryson, if you hit into the rough, you play it as it lies. It’s not supposed to be perfect. Props to the ref for not giving in. And props to Bryson for the great up and down!
