They locked him inside a wooden coffin for 12 days. Former Palestinian hostage Imad Nabhan describes how the Israeli occupation army sealed him inside a wooden coffin with an iron cage door, bound hand and foot in total darkness, kept alive on quarter cups of cocoa and broth fed through a small tube in one of three tiny holes. Nabhan had been kidnapped from al-Rafi'i school in Gaza as civilians were heading to a shelter. Soldiers demanded he serve as an informant, enter Hamas tunnels on their behalf, and ride on their tanks. When he refused, they tortured him with electricity. When that failed to break him, they dragged him blindfolded into the coffin. He says the soldiers knew he had no information to give but wanted to inflict as much suffering as possible.
