Boosie rejected Rod’s attempt to separate himself from older artists who signed unfavorable first contracts, claiming Sony owns Rod’s catalog and telling him, “You made the same exact mistakes we made.” He then questioned Rod’s creativity, accusing him of repeatedly using music created by other artists instead of making completely original records.
