In this video we see the "early doors function" in action. On the 787-9 & -10, the "early doors function" automatically pre-opens the main landing gear doors one second after lift-off and prior to the pilot moving the gear lever to the UP position.

For landing, the Boeing 787 allows for the selection of 5 deceleration levels. AUTO BRAKE 1 through 4 and MAX AUTO. If MAX is selected, deceleration is limited to AUTO BRAKE 4 until the pitch angle is less than 1° and then increased to MAX AUTO level.

What about a low Go Around on a 787? Not as easy as 2-3-5! Caution: TO/GA switches are inhibited after touchdown or when below 2’ RA for 3 secs or more. If the landing is discontinued, the TO/GA switches are enabled again above 5’ RA. Hence, when doing a low go around, we need to advance the thrust levers manually.
