#AgainstTheCurrent SPOILERS This edit is one of the best I’ve seen, it captures their entire love story from Episodes 1 to 47 so beautifully. Even though I’d seen enough spoilers to know what was coming, the ending still hurt. His love for her was unwavering, and though it took time for her to reciprocate, I truly believe that by the end, she would have chosen him in the next life. With his dying breath: "I owe you so much in this life. In the next, you must come find me so I can repay it. If you don't, I will follow this red thread to find you. #TheEarlySpring Ep17 After watching this episode, I finally understand why Luan Nian reacts the way he does in that preview Ep18 below. Tao was incredibly brave gathering evidence – and seeing the women at the office unite to bring Dony down was a powerful "women supporting women" moment. BUT I have to agree that Nian, of all people, deserved to know. Not just because they're in a relationship, but because he's her superior and someone she should be able to trust implicitly. This echoes the same issue from when she dealt with her real estate agency problem. The message it sends is unmistakable: she doesn't need him, and she doesn't trust him enough. She turned to her housemate, she went to HR – but he, the most important person in her life, was the last to find out. I know many fiercely independent women – we tend to do this. But learn to lean on someone, especially your significant other. It's not weakness; it's partnership. So when she offers him a future together, and he's been reading all the wrong signals, how can he truly believe she wants partnership when she can't even trust him with the important decisions?

And you can tell from this livestream with Nanke and Jiugao how much Lin Jinqi means to him. He said the day after filming wrapped, he was initially thrilled to be done with daily makeup. But by night, the realization that he’d never play Lin Jinqi again hit him hard. He actually WeChatted the director, producer, and Tan Songyun to admit his delayed reaction kicked in! Known for being unshakeable, they teased him back: "So even you have a day like this!" 😂 He confessed the character withdrawal was genuinely unbearable.

#BlossomThroughTheCloud - 100% recommended! Am at the midpoint of Ep17 and I had such a good laugh at how they handled the actress scandal. Can Fu Ming Yu please stop asking Bai Yang for relationship advice? LMAO. Their first major conflict as a couple, but because both leads are pretty upfront and honest with each other, they passed with flying colours. You girls know who the real boss is, right? Wait till our Ruan Ruan marries him - she'll be running Hengshi like a tight ship. 😂 This CP is truly the best (let me not jinx this :D). I love every bit of their dating era. They make time for each other even when schedules are tight, enjoy sweet dates at the grocers and over homecooked meals, and the best part is they have an extremely open and honest relationship. I know it's almost a fantasy to have a workplace romance this out in the open, but Fu Ming Yu doesn't care what anyone thinks. He's devoted, clingy, and always considers her feelings. But it doesn't mean he agrees with everything where work decisions are concerned. HOWEVER, what makes this drama really special is the healthy perspective our FL has (see the vid). To her, you don't have to come from the same world as someone. Two very different people can make it work if they both put in mutual effort. RSX's understanding of her own self worth is why this drama is chef's kiss. Even in the middle of a scandal, she refused to panic or make stupid assumptions, and allowed him to explain. COMMUNICATION is evident. I want her to cross over to my other drama universe and tell the other FL 🙃 this is how it's done.

#PursuitOfJade Ep 26 closing cut: I know, I know... this is where everything goes sideways. Of course, Chang Yu discovers Yan Zheng is the Marquis of Wu'an in the most devastating way possible. But can we talk about this scene? It's pure cinema. The choreography is breathtaking, her tears gut-wrenching, and he sweeps her onto his horse mid-battle. That's how you layer complex emotions- action and heartbreak colliding at full force. ZLH's Weibo post says it perfectly: "Whether I am Yan Zheng or Xie Zheng, my heart toward Chang Yu has never been false." But Xie Zheng has plenty to apologize and explain for, that's for sure.

#PursuitOfJade I really love the word choice here in Ep 19 - even though the English translation isn't wrong, it doesn't fully capture the cultural nuance. He said: 我娶你好不好 Culturally, this implies "Will you become my wife and join my family?" This is such a meaningful contrast to their contract marriage, where he was the one marrying into her family. The shift in language says everything about how his feelings- and their dynamic- have evolved. And this connects so well to something in episode 15. When Xie Zheng tells his friend Sun that he doesn't want the two sisters to suffer if they follow him, Sun advises him that what he really needs is a strong woman to be the matriarch of his family. Again, the cultural context is key here: it reinforces the idea that she would become part of his household and lead its domestic affairs. It's not just about love - it's about belonging, protection, and respect.

#BlossomsOfPower This cut from Ep 15, which I combined with Ep 20 preview, confirms what I said in Ep 14. The harder he pushes himself on her, the more she pulls away. We all have no doubt about his sincerity. But Xihe is still wary of his intentions, and these so-called "flirty lines" only make her uncomfortable. Grand gestures and over-the-top expressions of affection aren't what she's after. What actually wins her over, as you'll see in the preview, is when he stops expecting reciprocation and truly offers an alliance in her favour. From the other previews, he also puts in considerable effort to win over her father's heart. Looking forward to that. Though this drama's weird scheduling means we won't get Ep 20 until the weekend.

My sweetie here is a late bloomer but I have always kept faith that people will see his potential. I liked what this kblogger said that when you see him in TJFH , he feels familiar but yet you might think he's a newcomer. Seems like a rookie but surprised that he's good in acting. If you check his filmography you'd realise he's been acting for more than a decade. JY mentioned that he wasn't sure what to do while in school but he did have a dream of being a chef especially because he helped mum out at home. His father suggested modeling after he was done with military service . He mentioned in an interview he had to shed off 30kg through diet & exercise as he weighed over 100kg .Esteem Academy signed him & he debut as a model in 2010. He got casted in a TVN survival program "Flower Boy Casting". From there, he was inspired to act and landed his 1st supporting role in the movie "No Breathing". (starring SeoInGuk & LeeJongSuk.) If you want to see a young JY in swimwear 😁, you can check him out there. The movie didn't quite make a splash (pun unintended 😁) , and JY who had actually left Esteem to pursue acting, found himself jobless for at least over a year. He auditioned for BladeMan (LeeDongWook & Shin SeKyung's drama) and got casted for a small role. Esteem reached out to him again & he signed with them again to model. He later also joined HB Entertainment for acting jobs, and was with them for a long time. Last year (2023) he left HB and joined his long time manager who had established a new agency, Management S. After Blademan , JY had several supporting roles but his 1st main cast role was in OCN's My Secret Romance. He was the 2nd lead & that was also my first JY drama. While I didn't have SLS, he was such a sweetheart there and caught my attention. My massive crush began when he acted as MooYeon in #100DaysMyPrince as an assassin and the FL's brother. He also had a forbidden love line with the 2ndFL's char played by HanSoHee , and they had great chemie despite limited scenes. I cried my eyes out watching their tragic love story. This is the year (2018) I decided I'll stan this man ☺️😂 His role there opened many doors. He had a short TV series called Dear My Room ( was on the now defunct Olive TV) where he played the romantic ML against Ryoo Hye Young's character. It was one of those friends to lovers trope and I recommend this for a sweet fluffy watch. He also sang the OST with RHY. The big year came in 2019 when he was casted as the ML , Sun Woo in #SecretBoutique, a female centric drama starring KimSunA and GoMinSi . He had a meaty role here as a prosecutor - a bit of a grey character and was somewhat like a brother to the FL (KimSunA) and he had some nice fight scenes. His body was the best here 🔥😋😁. If you don't mind a heavy melodrama, this wasn't bad. And oh boy, was I shipping him hard with GoMinSi's character. I still hope they can reunite for another show & give me closure. 2019-2020 was when I watched a KBS weekender #BeautifulLoveWonderfulLife from start to finish ( raw and with subs - yes my level of dedication surprised me) because JY got casted as Jun Hwi, the ML against another actress I love , Seol In Ah. Gosh, this drama was an emotional roller coaster and was another heavy character. The premise of the story was so sad and the leads went through so much together but I love this show though. He had good chemie with SIA. He also won a KBS acting award here. I recommend this if you can do 50eps and love angst like I do 😂 The role took its toll on JY. He mentioned he needed to take a break but then found himself without work for at least 6-7 months ( if I remember correctly) . Boy, did I miss him. It was really only in an Elle pictorial with his good friend -actor, model and famous youtuber Joo WooJae that I found out he had been having a hard time. He has appeared on WooJae's YT channel several times - they even travel together. JY's come back drama was in #ReflectionOfYou (2021), another heavy melo as the ML who was caught in an emotional tug of war between 2 women played by GoHyunJung and ShinHyunBeen. As WooJae, KJY gave some of his best acting. I know he got a lot of hate 😵💫🤣because WooJae was just so obssessed / in love with GHJ's character that he was willing to throw it all for her. This drama is not for the faint hearted but the acting was superb all round - even if the plot would make you uncomfortable. He was so hot here too. JY with longish hair was a dream. In 2022, he was the 2ndML , as KangHaeJin in #LoveInContract. It was so nice to see him play a diva actor and do rom-com for the 1st time. This is a fun watch. While I don't think viewers would have SLS, JY's character wasn't one dimensional either and he had his own storyline despite not being the ML. In 2022 - 2023 he voiced an audio drama , "For Sale - I Broke Up" with Yoon So Hee - but I don't know how we can listen to it internationally (though I do have some vids I would post one day). He also filmed a drama called "We Will Replace The Trip" with Gong SeungYeon, but so far no news of it airing yet. JaeYoung here is shy and unassuming. He's MBTI is INFP. You can see from his interviews he's quite easygoing and humorous. On my highlights- I have subbed some of his videos for TJFH. JY says he still dreams of being a chef and has gone to a 6-month cooking course last year. He also hopes to be able to take on warmer roles going forward.

#PursuitOfJade Ep 27 will definitely remain a favourite of mine. While Chang Yu's anger toward Xie Zheng was completely justified, he came clean and genuinely groveled. I loved that he proposed again- this time as his true self, with nothing hidden. I know some might wonder why Chang Yu forgave him so quickly. Here's why: regardless of his name or title, Xie Zheng has always been sincere in how he treated her. Deep down, she knew that the bond they shared- every high and low- was him, through and through. That title was never a privilege; it was a burden. And his hesitation to tell her came from knowing, as this episode made clear, that it would become her burden too. I also appreciated that he considered asking his mentor to make her a goddaughter. You have to understand the social hierarchy of that era- nobility rarely married commoners. Concubines, yes. Official wives, no. He didn't care about any of that, but he understood that she might. And she did- right up until they physically fought it out and had that raw, honest conversation by the river. And then came that moment- when he spoke of how fondly he remembered his time in Lin'an with her, how happy it made him. That truly reached her. Because what mattered most to Chang Yu was that he loved her home and her people the way she did. (my tears fell here too 🥹) This is why this show has been so consistently good from the start. The characters always have these gentle, meaningful conversations. It's okay to get angry- but in the end, what matters is that you talk it through.

#UndercoverMissHong #UndercoverMissHongEp8 Doom Ship Analysis – let’s be real, there may not be a decent ending for this 😂🤡 So far, the one thing tying Geum Bo and Jung Woo together is their similar mission: to bring down Hanmin Securities. But that’s where the similarities end- their motives and methods couldn’t be more different. Geum Bo is walking the straight and narrow. Her drive comes from a place of moral clarity: expose the corruption and get justice for her mentor. Even when she takes risks, she stays principled. Jung Woo, on the other hand, operates in the shadows. While he also wants to destroy the company, his motives as shown thus far feels deeply personal- fueled by private revenge and self-interest. The show is killing me 😅with how slowly it reveals his backstory! Each week’s new clue about his true intentions is equal parts intriguing and frustrating.

I don't know what possessed me to start #TheEpochOfMiyu, but it's addictive in a blood-pressure-raising, hair-pulling way. LMAO. Yes, I have a soft spot for #WallaceChung (despite his last drama making me throw things). This isn't fluffy idol romance- it's a slow burn that requires patience for character development. Newer gen of viewers might already hate the FL Miyu played by #ZhuZhu . She's too nice, gets taken advantage of, and can't stand up for herself. Early episodes had me screaming internally as she: 1) Discovered her husband's infidelity 2) Got screwed in a divorce she could've won (receipts, people!) 3) Became a hotel cleaner after giving up her career for 10 years And by the end of ep5 ? She'll likely be colleagues with his pregnant new wife (the affair partner). This drama will make you thankful you never gave up your financial independence for a scumbag. Remember keep your jobs, girls. Where does Ji Feng (Wallace) come in? As GM of the hotel where Miyu's anniversary happened, he helped cover up her husband's affair- because the husband was a high-value client. Now Ji Feng returns to Shanghai to run the same hotel where Miyu cleans rooms. Their first interaction (her cleaning his room) is wonderfully awkward- she gives him a piece of his mind. 😁 But surprisingly the chemie is quite good. Bottom line: This drama will rile you up, but you'll root for Miyu to rise from the ashes and get revenge. Plus, the behind-the-scenes hotel operations feel surprisingly realistic. Recommend if: You like slow burns, flawed heroines, and don't mind yelling at your screen.

Bless the kind soul who compiled NanHeng’s 39 outfits - this was basically a #LiuYuNing fashion show! Very few play historical warlords as flawlessly as he does. Since May, I’ve been absolutely spoiled, watching 3 of his costume dramas back-to-back: The Prisoner of Beauty, Eternal Brotherhood (Dilin is seriously 🔥), and #ADreamWithinADream. The sheer charisma is unreal. Gonna miss him in one since I think he's focusing on music for now 🥲 Vid cr:
