Watch: Boeing 767 Takes Off From an EXTREMELY Short Runway! An Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 767-300ER (ET-AQW) was flying from Addis Ababa to Kilimanjaro International Airport in Tanzania. ATC redirected the crew because of an obstruction on the runway. The pilots then mistakenly landed at Arusha Airport, a much smaller field. Arusha’s runway is only about 1,620 m (5,314 ft), less than half the length of Kilimanjaro’s, and normally built for light aircraft, not a widebody jet. Ground crews had to offload excess fuel and unnecessary weight to lighten the aircraft. The flight crew then pulled off a specialized short-field takeoff and flew out safely. The incident happened on December 18th 2013. Here’s the departure. Watch how much runway they use. 👇

This is what happens when passengers refuse to behave onboard an aircraft. You might think you can do whatever you want, but once you step onboard an aircraft, the rules are different. Disruptive behaviour can get you restrained, removed from the flight, arrested, and potentially banned from flying with the airline. And if the situation escalates beyond control, the pilot may have to divert and make an unscheduled landing to protect everyone onboard. That means extra fuel costs, delays, disrupted schedules, and significant financial losses for the airline. Never let your ego turn a flight into a costly mistake. It is not really worth the consequences. This incident happened in a Ryanair flight back in 2025

TERRIFYING MOMENT: This helicopter suddenly entered a violent tailspin mid-air as the pilots fought to regain control and make an emergency landing. 🚁 A suspected mechanical failure involving the tail rotor or its drive system appears to have disrupted the helicopter’s directional control. Without enough tail rotor authority to counter the main rotor’s torque, the helicopter began spinning rapidly. The pilots managed to get it safely back on the ground. A mechanical failure turned a normal flight into a life-threatening emergency in seconds.

SWISS retired its Airbus A340-300 (registered HB-JMB) on October 14, 2026, after more than 23 years of service, ferrying it from Zurich (ZRH) to Enschede (EHTW) for its final chapter.Right after take-off came three consecutive wing waves, one last salute before HB-JMB disappeared in the direction of Enschede. A piece of Swiss aviation history comes to an end here. Aviation enthusiasts will know exactly what this moment means. 🇨🇭👋 🎥zrhaircraft

This jet landed on a short grass strip and ran out of runway. It kept rolling into the parking lot next to the vehicles. It turned around and started taxiing back, but nearly got stuck on the hill, so the pilot had to add more power to get out. Dust everywhere.✈️

WATCH: This is Why the rudder mattered in today’s flydubai incident: This illustration is the rudder working as the aircraft lines itself up with the runway. As the pilots make small corrections, the rudder moves left and right to help keep the aircraft pointing straight. Now imagine the pilot who was landing the Fly Dubai today making those same landing corrections with part of the rudder torn away!! That’s why the incident makes the damaged rudder so striking. The 737 MAX that diverted to Tabuk was later photographed with part of its rudder missing after its rapid descent.

This terrifying footage shows an A330 Cabin shaking like a washing machine Midflight!✈️ This is what the cabin of an AirAsia X A330 looked and felt like after its engine failed at 38,000 feet. The aircraft began shaking violently. The vibrations were so severe that the entire cabin was visibly trembling, as seen in this footage. Then an announcement no passenger ever wanted to hear came: the captain asked everyone to pray and prepare for a brace-position landing. At that moment, with the entire aircraft trembling and the captain telling passengers to pray, the fear onboard must have been overwhelming! The cause was a fractured fan blade inside the left Rolls-Royce Trent 700 engine. Once the blade broke away, the rotating assembly became badly unbalanced, sending powerful vibrations through the engine and into the airframe.

Watch Kalitta Air Boeing 777 Freighter coming frighteningly close to a tail strike during a go-around✈️ What stands out to me is how much pitch and energy the crew had to manage in just a few seconds. The aircraft touched down, bounced, and they immediately had to control pitch, thrust, airspeed and configuration. With a 777-300ER’s length, there’s very little room for error when the pitch attitude changes close to the runway. The key decision was the go-around. Once the landing became unstable, getting airborne and establishing a safe climb was far better than trying to force the aircraft back onto the runway. 🎥Plane_spotter350

This footage gets more terrifying with every second. The helicopter was in serious trouble after an engine oil leak, trailing a massive cloud of smoke as the pilot raced toward the ground. You can almost feel the urgency. He was fighting against time to get the aircraft safely on the ground. There was no room for hesitation. No second attempt. He eventually spotted an empty parking and managed to land safely.

🚨 JUST IN: A Vietnam Airlines Boeing 787-9 had a pretty unusual takeoff from Munich today. Flight VN34 was departing for Hanoi when the aircraft rotated very late, lifting off near the end of Runway 26L. Ground footage shows the main landing gear coming off the runway with a cloud of dust behind it. There are reports that the aircraft may have struck equipment beyond the runway, potentially damaging runway lights and possibly the aircraft itself, though the reports aren't verified yet. After takeoff, the crew stopped the climb at around 9,000 ft and entered a holding pattern near Munich, likely to assess the situation and burn fuel. Definitely not a normal takeoff, and the footage shows just how close to the end of the runway the 787 lifted off.

This footage shows an attack helicopter flying low when a missile launched from the ground slams into it, triggering an explosion. But the helicopter keeps flying. Flames pour from its left side as it struggles to remain airborne. Moments later, thick black smoke engulfs the aircraft before it plunges into the field in a massive fireball. So, how did it stay airborne for so long after taking a direct hit? A missile can severely damage a helicopter without immediately disabling its engines or rotor system, allowing it to keep flying. However, damaged fuel lines, hydraulics, or electrical systems can trigger fires and progressive failures that eventually bring the aircraft down.

That Was WAY Too Close! The Runway Is Almost Gone for this A340✈️ Watch closely as the massive four-engine aircraft accelerates towards the end of the runway. For a moment, it looks like the runway is simply running out and then the aircraft finally lifts off. What could have been the reason for the risky late takeoff?

This is how Quickly a helicopter hover can turn into a crash🚁 According to the NTSB report released recently, this Bell 206 was in an initial hover when the flight instructor reached across the cockpit to adjust the engine governor reference RPM. While doing so, he failed to maintain control. The helicopter pitched up, moved backward and descended onto the taxiway before bouncing and rotating out of control. There was no major mechanical failure involved. The problem was simply losing control during the hover. This incident happened on May 23, 2026, at Cedar City Regional Airport in Cedar City, Utah.

Air China A350 on the flare, gear down, nose high, everything looks normal....then it just kept floating. It floated a few feet above the runway for what felt like forever, I even thought it was going to do a Go-around. By the time the mains finally touched down, it was a long way down the runway. Not dangerous, just one of the longest hold-offs I’ve watched. Usually that means a bit of extra speed over the threshold, a gusty headwind, or a pilot chasing a smooth touchdown and holding the nose up a little too long. Great to watch, though.
