After landfall we started driving towards Pensacola and as expected, tons of trees were down, along with power lines. Daylight is going to be interesting. Currently back at the hotel, with no power of course.

Spirit. Courage. Hope. Pain. Love. Every emotion was felt today with this wonderful family from Pensacola Beach. Isaias tried to take it all. They didn't let it. Was inspired hearing their story. Seeing their smiles. Watching neighbors helping neighbors. Was covering the damage and saw this man. Sitting in destruction. On a porch that once was. We shared a wave. Took a picture. Then I heard a voice. Mike!!! It was his daughter. She invited me up to see the destruction. To share their story. Her son was recovering what he could. Walking up and down the stairs. Picking through the piles. She is a big MWP fan. She smiled. We hugged. For a brief moment everything was OK. I helped as much as I could. And then we said goodbye. But it's not goodbye. The story will continue. Every year we end the year with a 'Neighbors Helping Neighbors' benefit party. And today it was clear. It was a sign. We will be helping. Please stay tuned for details this week. For a way to hopefully make a little positive impact in what they lost today. Thank you.
