He learns that love, apparently, means watching a man be dismantled with polite words while everyone applauds the woman's self-discovery. No one asks what it costs a man to carry a marriage alone. No one cares… until he stops carrying it. Brilliant performances, yes - Annette Bening, Bill Nighy, Josh O’Connor nail the restraint. And William Nicholson knows exactly what he's doing. Hope Gap isn't about divorce. It's about how men are expected to endure quietly… & then be grateful for the privilege.

The pattern across all 3 films is identical: Men are expected to be anchors. Women are allowed to chase storms. When the ship breaks, the anchor is blamed.

150 rupees = Molestation charge. This is the level of weaponization of gender we've reached.
