#MovieReview #TheOdyssey OVERYHPED Rating: ⭐️⭐️1/2 The entire promotional and marketing campaign of the movie has been centred on the fact that it’s an IMAX cinematic marvel. Well yes, visually the film is really good but then there are number of #Hollywood films which have adapted this cinematic style and there isn’t any mindblowing invention per se. Of course, #ChristopherNolan bhakts will go gaga over the film, but then that’s expected out of them as well. However if watched as a standalone movie, does it provide entertainment? Well, only sporadically. The film has really long drawn scenes and at places it even bores. Worse, in the first half there are sequences where you squirm and cringe, most notably the ones with the one eyed monster and the witch - you just can’t look at screen. At places, you are even reminded of #Baahubali (more about that later), though in all fairness since Greek mythology is age old, perhaps #Rajamouli was inspired there. There is this whole swaymvar sequence too and that’s seeped into Indian mythology as well. Technically, the film is expectedly quite good with cinematography, sound design and BGM (albeit a bit weird at a couple of places) functioning well. Still, it isn’t as if you are experiencing it for the first time ever. Performances are good, though to call any of these Oscar worthy would be saying too much. Overall, the film can be watched in parts but is certainly not worth the hype. Rating: ⭐️⭐️1/2 #TutejaTalks

#WelcomeToTheJungle #MovieReview - Non-stop action comedy that moves at a rapid pace. Rating: 🤣🤣🤣🤣1/2 If Manmohan Desai had made Sholay with Amar Akbar Anthony then he would have made Welcome To The Jungle. As the great filmmaker used to say, a commercial movie needs to have a highlight sequence every 10 minutes. This is what happens here as comedy, action, music peppers the screenplay and then gets into a repeat mode to ensure that there is no dull moment. #AkshayKumar is simply excellent in his comic avtar and surpasses a lot of his other legendary characters this time around. His double role act is a hoot. Also, his scenes with #RaveenaTandon are the best part of the film. It’s wonderful to see #SunielShetty back on screen. He is superb and so is #ArshadWarsi who is just natural. Veterans #JohnyLever #PareshRawal and #RajpalYadav bring the house down. As for #DishaPatani and #JacquelineFernandez, they are simply cool on eyes. #JackieShroff gets into the #Gabbar mode and his styling is quite good, while #VinduDaraSingh is fun as his #Sambha. The real surprise though are #FaridaJalal and #KiranKumar who get the house down with their poker faced comedy. The trio from #Mahabharat are fun and then there is a bit of #Border reference too with #SudeshBerry getting on the scene. What could have been better? Well, the training sequences don’t work at all in the middle of the first half and then similarly the middle of the second half is also okayish. However barring this, the film moves at a very rapid pace and the inclusion of songs is done very well too with the scale showing. My recommendation? Just go for this #AhmedKhan directed film and have some great laughs. It has been ages since one checked out a family entertainer like this with so much non-stop humour for more than 2.5 hours. Rating: 🤣🤣🤣🤣1/2

#MovieReview - #Alpha - Works for its action set pieces, especially hand to hand combat sequences. Also, it’s a very #Hollywood styled action film by director #ShivRawail. The focus is getting the visuals work well for the big screen. #AliaBhatt and #Sharvari deliver a popcorn affair which doesn’t rely upon deep or intense drama/emotion but just to let action do the talking. While Alia is there from start to finish, would have wanted to see more of Sharvari as she has comparatively lesser space. She looks a million bucks though. #BobbyDeol is good to watch and his built is enviable, #AnilKapoor is reliable as ever. #HrithikRoshan’s cameo is nice but forced. Absence of chartbuster songs is felt through and the climax could have been designed better. Overall, I liked what played on screen as in any case instead of being a regular spy universe movie, it was more of an assassin-action film with #AliaBhatt clearly enjoying her time performing all the action. Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Just imagine the kind of frenzy that #KartikAaryan will create when he arrives with #AnuragBasu’s next. A couple of major CHARTBUSTER songs and it’s going to be game on. The kind of pull that Kartik has amongst youth as well as family audiences is terrific and with #Diwali2025 release, nothing could have possibly gone better. Expect yet another musical dhamaka that will resonate amongst the youth!
