Pedro Martinez on the importance of keeping his torso over the rubber as he loaded. Pedro Martinez is openly proud about never having elbow problems. Included below, comparison of Martinez vs. Jacob deGrom at peak leg lift. deGrom does not stay over the rubber - the cause of elbow injuries during his career. A reminder that deGrom was a college SS, drafted in 2010 as a very raw pitcher, then developed with "analytical" mechanics. Anybody who has claimed that deGrom has had "pErFeCt MeChAnIcS" outted themselves as knowing jack sh-t about pitching. "Analytical" mechanics are now the norm, beginning as early as Little League, as TJ Surgery has been rationalized as an occupational hazard of "pitchers throwing harder than ever" (because Analytics Enthusiasts don't know the history of radar 🔫s; today's radar is a different measure than Pedro's era).

Supplement to Billy Williams Front Foot Thesis below: Charley Lau on keeping the FF closed during the stride (before FF down). "Successful hitters are always aware of their front lead foot." 🚫 Lau emphasizes *not* opening up the FF to avoid HLP-like habits. 🚫 #shegone
