🧵Yesterday, we spoke to members of Project Priceless about #AHomeOfOurOwn, a dream that they decided to make a reality after a DOJ report was leaked to the press that detailed the Worcester Police Department's abuse against homeless and prostituted women. On December 17th, they spoke to the City Council about their demands, which included a public apology from the police department, and a building to operate a women's shelter. Many of these women confronted the police officers that they see on a day-to-day basis, abusing and displacing them.
