The IDF has killed starving Palestinian civilians trying to get aid. Settler terrorism and talk of imposing the illegal E1 settlement plan are flagrant attempts to prevent a Palestinian state. There is no justification for this. A two-state solution is the only path to peace.

Israel has blocked aid from entering Gaza for over two months. Gazans are at risk of starvation. International law requires Israel to allow aid to get to civilians. Gaza is no exception to this rule. All European members of the Security Council call on Israel to let aid in now.

The UK is appalled by the Israeli strikes on al-Tabeen school. Palestinians have nowhere safe to turn. 86% of Gaza is under evacuation orders. Families have been repeatedly forced to move, with minimal notice given by Israel, to places that do not offer the safety they need.

The UK voted yes on today’s Security Council resolution on Gaza. The draft called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza; an immediate release of all hostages; a huge scale-up in aid access; and the protection of civilians. We will keep striving to bring this war to a close.
