P*rnhub was previously exposed for monetizing real videos of abuse, including content involving drugged and unconscious victims. Only after massive public pressure and legal action did Visa and Mastercard cut ties—forcing the removal of over 90% of the site. Now, platforms like Motherless continue to profit from similar illegal and exploitative content, still processing payments through major financial systems. This is exactly why stronger, preventative laws are needed—not just reactive takedowns after the damage is done. This is the reason the PROTECT Act is needed globally. The PROTECT Act requires mandatory age verification and verified consent at the point of upload for adult platforms—stopping illegal content before it ever goes live, not after it spreads. As someone who has been exploited on P*rnhub and Motherless and been fighting for over four years to make this a requirement—this will ensure that uploaders to adult sites are verified and that consent is proven before any content is allowed online. The internet has no borders. Protection shouldn’t either.

I fully support Amendment 300 in the UK’s Crime and Policing Bill. It follows the same exact framework as the PROTECT Act—requiring real age and consent verification for uploaders to adult sites. As a survivor, I know exactly why this is needed and why takedowns don’t work. After working on this for over four years with the UK’s Cyber Helpline and helping create the Global Online Harms Alliance, I’m glad to see this moving forward. Watch this to understand why.

Section 230 is exactly why platforms can ignore digital violence and online abuse like this. I know this firsthand. I was a victim of the 2014 iCloud hack, and were uploaded to sites like Motherless without my consent. It took years of fighting to remove that content—while it continued to spread. That’s the problem. Takedowns happen after the damage is done. The Protect Act fixes this at the source. It requires age and consent verification for uploaders to adult platforms, stopping digital violence before it begins. We don’t need better cleanup. We need prevention.

Last week, history was made at the California State Capitol. The PROTECT Act passed unanimously through the Assembly Committee, a powerful step toward justice. For the first time, survivors are not just being heard, they’re being seen and believed. This is what me and my nonprofit, Foundationra have been fighting for relentlessly. The PROTECT Act is the first and only bill that requires agent consent verification before any upload happens , stopping exploitation before the damage can even begin. No more Band-Aid bills. No more empty words. The PROTECT Act is the real solution survivors have needed all along. Now every state needs to follow and we need to pass this federally and internationally. On September 23rd, I spoke at the UNGA80 event with the Spotlight Initiative , in front of world leaders, the United Nations, European Union, and African Union. I addressed the urgent need for stronger global digital protections, here in the U.S. the current laws allow abuse content to be uploaded first, and only offer the option to take it down after the damage is done. That’s not justice, that’s trauma and exploitation. Why are we passing laws that allow the exploitation of children and women to be uploaded in the first place? And how can we dare call that a “win”? I was at the United Nations not just to raise awareness, but to create global solutions. The PROTECT Act is one of them and is urgently needed everywhere. As the founder of the #protectact and Foundationra this isn’t just a U.S. issue. It’s a worldwide crisis. And I won’t stop until we build a safer future for everyone.
