We have refurbished our Mukono Substation to enable us to deliver safe and reliable electricity services to Mukono and surrounding areas of Seeta, Nakifuma, Namanve and Mbalala amongst others. August 2024 Umeme Update: Umeme remains committed to enhancing the electricity network to meet the ever-growing demand for reliable power. Our recent investments include the construction of a new switching station in Matuga, aimed at improving operational efficiency and stability. Additionally, we have undertaken reliability enhancement works to establish a dedicated power feed for Lira Hospital, ensuring uninterrupted service to this critical facility. In collaboration with UETCL, we are also working to improve the quality and reliability of the power supply in key areas such as Gulu and Kabale, further strengthening the national grid and supporting regional development. During the fasting season of Ramadan, we engaged in communal development activities in Nalusugga village, Kasangati. We renovated the mosque and installed a water tank, aiming to improve the community's infrastructure.
