My Latest AI short was made with Seedance 2.0 the model that has been firing up the internet over the past couple of days. I made this in two and half days and it's an original short that is based on HP Lovecraft's work which is now Public Domain (No Copyright infringement here!). If you are not into period romances then bare with it as it gets a more little action packed in the second half! The model is brilliant at both performance and action, you can now make convincing dialogue and action sequences for AI cinema. With this model we have now reached the stage where we can tell any story we want with AI, the tools are capable. This is only 720p at the moment but I suspect it will be upgraded to 1080p very soon. We stand at the threshold of having broadcast quality tools capable of creating anything we can imagine available to everyone, so lets do new an interesting things with it. Sharing some work in progress on my latest AI short. Here is a rough cut of a dialogue scene where I use Kling 2.6 motion control to capture and transfer my performance to the AI generated characters of both Terry and Carol. No sound design, Carol's voice is just mine pitched up 😝 and I am clearly not a trained actor but I think this gives you a good idea of where we are in terms being able to capture performance and create engaging dialogue scenes with AI tools. I'd usually post the video with an inset of me performing but I did this late last night in my Rick and Morty Oodie with hair like a crazy money, ain't nobody need to see that!

I had to abandon this short due to a lack of time, but will hopefully return to it in the future. Though it worth sharing as it shows where we are in terms of making a conventional film with with AI. OMFG!!! What a bang to go out of 2026 Kling looks like they have unlocked one of the last blockades to AI filmmaking the ability to import genuine human into performance into AI Video generation!!!! I premiered my most realistic and cinematic AI short to date at the Bionic awards showcase at the Rich Mix Cinema, which you can watch below. Made with Freepik using the latest tools: Google DeepMind Nano Banana Pro, Kling AI, Dreamina AI Seedream, 2.6 and Suno. It was great to meet and be screened alongside fellow creators like Salma, Anima Studios AI and Afro Futcha ( Diane ) who's work I've followed for a while. The new motion control gives you really detailed performance capture so you can transfer a genuine nuanced human performance onto your AI characters. You can also blend that performance in with AI generated events , using Kling's start and end frame workflow. 🧵1/3 I partnered with Kling to make a promo for their new 3.0 model. I came up with the concept, created it and delivered it all on my own in 3 days of early access, I wanted to make something that showed how Kling could be used to tell a diverse range of stories in a diverse range of styles. I've honestly been blown away be how incredible the model is and I haven't even scratched the surface of features like the new 3.0 OMNI model. For me Kling 2.6 was already best in class for most things but 3.0 sees massive improvements to video quality and detail (no need to add grain to mask imperfections) and prompt adherence. Also you can time your generations to be as long as 15 seconds and as short as 3, this is fantastic for pacing your scenes. Like a lot of people my age my first adventures in storytelling was playing with Star Wars figures as a kid. So when I did this quick test of kinetix video I tested it out with a Star Wars theme. What you’re seeing on the left is the driving video and staring frame. Then you chose a camera action (Dolly in etc) and write a prompt. Then kinetix aimates your character and moves the camera. It’s great to see performance controled generations coming to AI video and the team have more control coming on the roadmap. I am looking forward to testing out with some original footage and images when I get sometime soon.

I made this in a couple of hours this evening just playing with some techniques and styles. I didn't want to start anything big as I know a few big new things are dropping soon. This was made with Dreamina AI Seedream (all images built from the first frame of the second shot), Kling AI 2.5 turbo and Freepik, music with the one and only Suno. Night AI peeps! My latest proper AI short film for a while. It's based on one of my favorite childhood books, the Chrysalids by John Wyndham. Above all it a good reference of the sort of thing that a single creative can make in a few weeks with the latest AI tools.
