So a stadium worker says “embarrassing” while Dak Prescott walks through the tunnel, and Dak stares the man down like he’s trying to intimidate him. Then tells somebody to get him out of there. Over THAT? If that man makes $14 an hour, you’re making the equivalent of $3.53 MILLION a game based on your contract average—and you can’t handle somebody saying “embarrassing”? Two interceptions, a failed two-point conversion, and, from what I saw, a wide-open man missed in the back of the end zone. WHERE’S THE LIE DETECTED? “Get him out of here” sounds to me like you want the man fired. For keeping it real? They should give that man a damn raise! Too many athletes surround themselves with yes-men, then get mad when somebody tells them something they don’t want to hear.

Where are we going as a country? Major League Baseball has already run off damn near all the Black American players. Now what’s next—they’re going to tell Jazz Chisholm Jr. his pants are too baggy or tell Mookie Betts he’s too Black? And let’s be clear: There is no rule in the official MLB rulebook requiring a player to wear his hat at a certain angle or have the brim shaped a certain way. Rule 3.03 requires players to wear the proper team uniform, but it does not tell them exactly how the hat must sit on their head. MLB needs to focus on bringing more Black players back into baseball and filling some of these empty stadiums—not controlling the personalities of the few Black stars it has left. Let Jazz be Jazz. Let Mookie be Mookie. Baseball needs their culture, personality and excitement!
