Over two million girls remain shut out of secondary school in Afghanistan. Five years after the country's transition, UNESCO remains committed to supporting learning opportunities for those who need them most. In Bamiyan and Nuristan, the EERA project is helping keep learning alive through community-based literacy and skills development classes. Across ten districts in both provinces, more than 2,100 learners are enrolled, nearly 70% of them women and girls. Because every opportunity to learn matters. UNESCOAfg
