One thing I've noticed about Marvel is that they portray characters more effectively in guest appearances than in their own movies. He looked like the protagonist in all the movie. An actual interesting character! I love that Wakanda's tech is so advanced that their ships don't explode when it crashes... A nice detail

This is the DEFINITION of plot armour. As soon as Kang fights the main heroes, he stops using the vaporising beam that he's been using on everyone else. Antman was hit at least twice by Kang's beam attacks. The only thing stopping him from just being vaporised is that the writers couldn't come up with a way to make Kang look intimidating without actually threatening anything
