This is Wendy Guevara’s full confession during the final Confessionário of the LUX TOUR in Mexico. “I really want to share something I’ve never talked about before. I did everything to please a man I thought loved me. I knew he didn’t love me, but I kept telling myself, ‘There are still more mornings. I think one day he’ll fall in love with me.’ To start with, I bought him a brand-new truck, I bought things and paid for love, I even put down the down payment on a house. I would give him 100,000, 200,000 pesos in cash, like an idiot. And I would take him to strip clubs to watch women, and I would even touch those women and pay for their services for him. He would tell me, ‘Touch her and do this,’ and I didn’t like it. I don’t like women, I mean, my sexuality is very well defined. Here’s Rivers’ full confession from tonight’s LUX TOUR Confessional with ROSALÍA: “When I was in high school, there was a boy I really liked. We talked, but we were ‘just friends,’ and as time went by, we got to know each other more. He would ask me out, and it started becoming something more. Then, one day, he told me he liked me and felt the same way. I was so excited, so hopeful. His birthday was coming up, and there was going to be Pal Norte, a festival here. I spent months saving money to take him to the festival. I even did raffles and everything, because I was 13 or 14 years old. When his birthday finally came, I had prepared a surprise for him, organized everything, and planned a special moment. When I gave him the gift, he saw what it was and got kind of weird. Then he told me, ‘Oh, it’s just that I have a family commitment,’ or whatever. Something like that. But he had been saying for months that he wanted to go, so it didn’t make any sense. I said, ‘Okay, fine, nothing happened.’ Since I had the extra tickets, I told a friend, ‘This is your opportunity, come with me.’ She was going to the festival too, so we went together. We were about to leave when, guess who I ran into at the festival? Him. With someone else, all cuddled up, and I think they were holding hands. And the worst part? Do you know who it was? A classmate. After that, I didn’t want anything to do with ‘Nati’ and I hated everyone for a long time. I spent several years not trusting anyone and not wanting to meet people in that way. But it was an experience, and eventually I realized it didn’t have to be that way.”

Karol G talks about a relationship in which her partner did not like celebrating his birthday with her and, every year, found an excuse to avoid spending that date with her. She shares this during a confession at the Confessionario of the LUX TOUR tonight in California. “What a relief to meet you. We already knew each other from before, but now it feels like a whole new level of friendship. I’m going to confess something to you. I was in a relationship where that person didn’t like celebrating his birthday with me. And that always seemed strange to me, because who wouldn’t want to spend that date with the person they are with? The most curious thing is that this happened every year. There was always a different excuse. Over time, I started to notice this pattern and kind of got used to it, but it still bothered me. To me, even if someone doesn’t like birthdays, it should still be important to want to share that moment with the person by your side. The most striking moment was that, in the last year, we already had everything ready to travel and celebrate in another part of the world, but it didn’t end up happening. This made me realize even more how much it had already become a pattern of lack of consideration.”
