twitter no longer lets you view tweets without an account. all archival tools don't work anymore. unauthenticated downloaders/clients/tools/etc also no longer work. this was probably done to stop unpaid data scraping, but ended up hurting literally everyone else.

if you want to access your US tiktok account after the block, here's how to do it: open the tiktok web app with vpn enabled, then modify the "store-country-code" cookie in dev tools to any country code that's not US (such as uk, au, nl, etc), and go to the home page lol

.jj made a userscript to replace the cookie automatically, so that tiktok stays functional with no extra tampering :3 it requires tampermonkey & allowing the extension to read all cookies, be careful, check the source code, and don't install any other random userscripts

it's not your internet, youtube now makes you wait 5 extra seconds as a penalty for not using google chrome this "issue" is 100% artificial and hardcoded, changing the user agent to google chrome magically fixes the timeout

i opened dia's landing page and noticed that it was kind of laggy, turns out it loads ~120mb of content on first load and then fetches 10mb of data every 4s on loop lol ngl i wouldn't trust someone with making a web browser if they can't make a web page

helium now ships with a rounded frame around web contents by default frame's rounded corners are concentric and dynamic across all platforms, matching the expected system frame radius and adapting based on the adjacent surface and try the improved zen mode!

just tried this with chromium, builds (with ccache) are still very throttled unlike the macos terminal. i've been trying to figure out why, but i still can't come to a conclusion left is ghostty and right is macos terminal, both get ccache hits
