Friendly Vegas Reminder: The asshats who perennially post photos of $18 bottles of water and $13 chocolate bars at in-casino “Essentials” stores are nothing more than clickbait merchants. Is the in-casino price substantially higher than elsewhere? Sure. But let’s be honest: you’re paying a convenience tax because you’re buying a bottle of water 47 steps from your slot machine. If you don’t want to pay that tax, don’t shop there. Walk to the nearest CVS, Walgreens, or even a gas station. Can we please apply a little common sense here? Cheaper options exist. You’re not being held hostage by Big Casino Water. And maybe—just maybe—stop rewarding the almighty internet detectives who literally go looking for these prices just so they can post the photos and bask in the outrage that follows.
