【 Team ORANGE 神速のピット作業 】 本日は往年の名シーンをプレイバック！ 2006年のD1グランプリシリーズ第4戦オートポリス。決勝戦は単走で100点を出して1位通過し、末永直登、手塚強、風間靖幸を倒して勝ち上がってきた熊久保信重と、おなじく単走で100点を出して2位通過し、小師賢作、末永正雄、植尾勝浩を倒してきた野村謙の対戦となった。 1セット目は両者いい走りを披露したものの、決め手に欠いて勝負は最対戦にもつれたが、ここで熊久保インプレッサにトラブル発生。5分間ルールのなか、サクションパイプを外してブローオフバルブの交換を開始し、JUNの小山さんも作業に加わる神速のピットワークで修復。再戦でも勝負はもつれ、再々対戦では野村に敗れた熊久保だったが最後まできっちりと走り切った。 本編ではベスト8からの名勝負や野村×植尾の珍シーンも収録！ Today, we’re taking a look back at one of the iconic moments from the D1 Grand Prix! The fourth round of the 2006 D1 Grand Prix Series was held at Autopolis. The final featured a showdown between Nobushige Kumakubo, who had qualified first with a perfect 100-point score in the solo run and advanced by defeating Naoto Suenaga, Tsuyoshi Tezuka, and Yasuyuki Kazama, and Ken Nomura, who had also scored a perfect 100 points to qualify second, before overcoming Kensaku Komoro, Masao Suenaga, and Katsuhiro Ueo. In the first set of battles, both drivers put on impressive performances, but neither was able to gain a decisive advantage, sending the battle into a rematch. That was when trouble struck Kumakubo’s Impreza. Under the five-minute rule, the team immediately removed the suction pipe and began replacing the blow-off valve. JUN’s Koyama-san also joined the effort, resulting in an incredibly fast pit stop that got the car back on track in time. The rematch was once again a closely fought battle, but in the third battle, Kumakubo was ultimately defeated by Nomura. Even so, Kumakubo continued to drive hard and completed the battle right through to the end.
