Earlier this week I was in J&K, every time a security convoy passes on the Jammu-Srinagar national highway (which is throughout the day), vehicles on either side are stopped. Our car was stopped multiple times, abruptly. Clearly Kashmir is more normal than the others! Am sure there are better ways to ensure security for the security personnel than causing inconvenience to locals and tourists.

Police sources said that the occupant of the car has been killed. Video shows Umar is in the car alone, wearing a mask.

The police, earlier in the day apprehended a drug peddler at the airport, who gave info about cache of arms concealed at a location in Kwakta, Bishnupur. When the security forces reached the location, a mob attacked them, leaving unspecified number of locals injured, said the police.
