Earlier this week I was in J&K, every time a security convoy passes on the Jammu-Srinagar national highway (which is throughout the day), vehicles on either side are stopped. Our car was stopped multiple times, abruptly. Clearly Kashmir is more normal than the others! Am sure there are better ways to ensure security for the security personnel than causing inconvenience to locals and tourists.

The three were abducted along with three others on Nov 11 by armed militants during an encounter with CRPF and police.

Police sources said that the occupant of the car has been killed. Video shows Umar is in the car alone, wearing a mask.
