I'm so, so grateful to Uday Foundation for helping organize hot meals for patients & relatives outside AIIMS; WAG: Welfare for animals Goa in Goa thar fed their beautiful injured animals whom they treat & Vidit Sharma 🇮🇳 the brave warrior who beats all odds to add comfort & succour for the now despised strays in NCR -- all in memory of my late mother Smt Nagamani Sampath, whose 76th birth anniversary it is today. Hope the prayers of these gentle souls reach her above there 🙏

Maharaja Mansingh Pustak Prakash library in Jodhpur's Mehrangarh fort is a mind boggling collection of more than 5 centuries of documentation- the Bahi's, khyats & other documents, so meticulously catalogued & preserved through the private intiative of Maharaja Gajsingh 'Baapji'. Dr Mahendra Singh Tanwar is a treasure trove of knowledge on Rajput history & spending the day with him at the archives was both illuminating & inspiring

While writing Foreword to my forthcoming book on Haidar Ali & Tipu Sultan, respected Dr. SL Bhyrappa Fan Page ji reminds us of this Kannada Lavani of 1920-30s sung in village jatres etc. The song castigates Mir Sadik as a desha drohi.
