Zero tolerance towards unsafe and misbranded food. I am determined to ensure safe food for every Goan, and the FDA team continues strict vigilance on food business operators. Over the past six months, revisits to inspected units led to fines, immediate closures, and detention of non-compliant stock. Unregistered chicken shops were penalized, sweet manufacturers asked to suspend operations, and farsan worth ₹30,000 without labels detained. A close watch is being kept on sweet manufacturers, fruit wholesalers, and food-laden vehicles at interstate borders to protect every Goan consumer.
