Sydney is young and clearly doesn’t understand the weight of what she’s saying. Tyla’s sister, Sydney, says she prefers living in the USA over her home country, South Africa, after previously being robbed there. She needs to remember that she is not Tyla. The attention and access she gets in America are largely because she is Tyla’s sister, not because she has built some massive career of her own. And before she starts romanticising America, she should understand that the country has its own serious problems, including police violence and gun violence. No country is perfect. What’s frustrating is that careless comments like these can easily reflect back on Tyla. Tyla worked hard to build her name and global brand, and Sydney shouldn’t be recklessly creating unnecessary controversy around it. She should be more careful with what she says publicly because Tyla has worked hard to build her reputation. One careless comment shouldn’t damage that. And you went to the South African Embassy ..; not the Zimbabwean Embassy ..; to get help. And when they couldn't help you, you called it xenophobia? You are a Zimbabwean national ..; not South African. You obtained a South African driver's license ..; while you were in South Africa. You are now in Japan ..; and you went to the South African Embassy for assistance. The embassy told you they couldn't verify your license ..; because they don't provide consular services for foreign nationals. Sis, that's not xenophobia. That's the law. The South African Embassy is there to serve South African citizens ..; not Zimbabweans, not Nigerians, not anyone else. You didn't go to the Zimbabwean Embassy. You didn't use Zimbabwean documents. You didn't follow the proper process. You expected South Africa to help you ..;even though you are not South African. And when they didn't, you cried xenophobia. This is the entitlement we are talking about. You used South Africa to study. You used South Africa to get a license. You used South Africa as a bridge to Japan. And now you want South Africa to help you in Japan too? Why didn't you use your Zimbabwean documents? Why didn't you go to the Zimbabwean Embassy? Why didn't you follow the proper process? Because you know the Zimbabwean system doesn't work. You know South Africa is the only country that will help you. And when they didn't, you blamed them. South Africa is not your personal stepping stone. It is not your bridge to the world. It is a country with laws – and those laws apply to everyone, including you. Go to the Zimbabwean Embassy. Use your Zimbabwean documents. Follow the proper process.

Phakel’umthakathi commenting on his dispute with Nhlanhla Lux. He says he believes he has already done enough for South Africa that he shouldn't have to go around explaining himself or responding to everyone who talks about him. He says that here in Soweto, there is a woman who had allegedly been suffering for more than nine months in this township, which some people claim belongs to certain individuals and not to Zulus like us. Women approached me during Women's Month, speaking on behalf of another woman. I stood up as a man because I have always preached that we should be men who protect and look after women. I came here and was welcomed warmly. Young people came out, men came out, and everyone said they needed our help because the police and the station commander were allegedly working together with foreign nationals. They said this woman had gone to the police station many times but had not received help. We arrived on the first day and held a meeting. On the second day, we issued a notice telling the foreign nationals to leave because they were allegedly causing problems for the community. One of foreign nationals then called a resident, which is Nhlanhla Lux, from Soweto. It is alleged that he had taken money from them..;that he had received money from foreign nationals and caused a disturbance. But what we wanted to do was remove foreign nationals from the shop, and that is our success story. That's what we want to talk about. We don't want to talk about someone who protested, caused a commotion and put on a show, but then turned around and ran away when he realised things were difficult and that this was not his home turf. I continued and succeeded in removing foreign nationals, and I will continue. Next week, I will remove even more foreign nationals. I've even received requests from Pinville, his own township, asking me to come and remove foreign nationals who are allegedly occupying people's homes against their will. They will leave.
