The USS Abraham Lincoln is in its ninth month at sea — 208 days without a port visit, five straight months of combat operations. Moldy showers. No soap. Broken toilets. Crew members running on two days off in seven months. No plan for how to rotate ships. No adequate supplies to defend the airspace around our own bases. And the strain on service members and their families is building week by week.

To relieve the Lincoln, the Navy is replacing it with the USS Washington, that means we're stripping our Pacific presence, and our primary check on China, to clean up the mess this administration created with its impulsive, unplanned war in Iran.
