With optimized builds, Hyperfy V1 came very close to matching the look and feel of Unity or other game engines—but in the browser. Few people realized how well it also performed on VR browsers and the level of immersion already possible on the web. Now, with V2, Hyperfy introduces a much more powerful engine and full physics support. The browser remains the most straightforward, frictionless, and accessible way to experience these technologies. This positions Hyperfy perfectly for the upcoming wave of VR, as new devices, technologies, and major companies enter the space. Rick and I are pooling resources and fully committed to helping build this out, bringing everything to the next level. Here I’m jamming with him in V1, with him using the Apple Vision Pro. Few know this yet, but Hyperfy has built an insanely well-performing WebXR engine. 🔹 Almost 100Hz feel on my Quest 3 🔹 Runs buttery smooth in a browser, standalone 🔹 Even screen recording doesn’t cause noticeable frame drops Hard to believe this is WebXR. Just want to take a moment to talk about Ash. Truly, seeing all his latest work, ideas, and dedication seamlessly continue through Hyperfy feels like the perfect and most rewarding outcome. Honestly, I would have followed him anywhere because there’s nothing even remotely as brilliant, intuitive, and seamless as the sandboxes he creates. He’s always been there—reachable, ready to explain, and so in tune with what the community needs, wants, and dreams about. On top of that, he’s consistently delivered the best solutions—no shortcuts, no compromises. I can’t tell you how excited I am to see him and saori back together, pushing this forward. What’s happening now feels like the best of all worlds coming together. With Shaw (spirit/acc)'s Eliza framework integration, jin, and the whole M3 gang’s vision, all the talents and ideas will come together into one bigger ecosystem—and the potential is honestly mind-blowing. Hyperfy 1.0 set the bar insanely high. What’s next? Breaking limits—beyond everything we’ve seen. For me, Hyperfy has been a total game-changer. It pushed me to start learning 3D from scratch, and that opened doors I didn’t even know existed. I’ve discovered skills and talents I never thought I had, learned to trust in them, and have even been able to support my family because of it. That’s something I’ll always be grateful for—both to Ash and to everyone I’ve met through this journey. I’m beyond hyped for what’s coming next. Big plans are in the works, and I’m so ready to see how it all unfolds. I’ve got tons of visuals from my countless experiments over the past 2.5 years… might just upload some random stuff from it.
