Hysterical. Rod Brind'Amour said he didn't really have any input on the team not touching the trophy. Then, he told on himself. 😅 "I had a couple of guys ask me what I thought, and I said, 'You do what you want.. but don't touch it.'"

Rod Brind'Amour didn't have an official update on Taylor Hall (upper-body injury) post-game, but said, "That doesn't look good either." We don't know if he was banged up here specifically, but the broadcast did highlight this first-period hit later in the evening.

Stormy just performed a skit from The Nutcracker during the TV timeout, and then the in-house production team showed Brad Marchand on the jumbotron, who was met with loud boos. As expected, #63 leaned into it. Hilarious.

Ouch. Rod Brind'Amour tells the broadcast post-game that he expects both William Carrier and Eric Robinson to be out for an extended period. Nothing definitive regarding K'Andre Miller, but "that could be a while" too.

Obviously, a lot of what we just witnessed can be described as "unbelievable." But, man, Sebastian Aho's setup to Taylor Hall on the second #Canes goal? Sheesh.

The whole sequence leading to Alexander Nikishin's goal. That's a wonderful outside-in move, followed by a shot that couldn't have been placed much better.

Seth Jarvis is such a complete player. Walks right by Carson Soucy like it's nothing to create a scoring chance, then tracks back to strip Alexis Lafrenière, who was going the other way.

Mark Jankowski struck for a career-best fourth consecutive contest last night. The 32-year-old boasts more goals (4) through the first seven games of this season than he has ever had points during that span in any other campaign.

Well, well, well… Seth Jarvis (offseason shoulder surgery) is in a regular practice jersey at morning skate for the #Canes. It is the first time we have seen him not in yellow. He’s working as an extra to start the day, so he’s not ready to return yet, but still a great sign.

Rod Brind'Amour was asked about facing the Flyers and their notoriously tough fanbase - something he knows well. He quickly corrected, "Fair (fanbase)." "If you put in a good effort, (the love) is there for you. If you're not, they let you know about it..."
