His Majestity the king had gone to visit Omutaka Nadduli Kibaale Daniel of Mpeeqo Clan at his home in Gombe and also introduced Richard Ssemakokiro. Omutaaka Naduli is respinsible for “okwalula” abaana mba Kabaka ( meaning he is responsible to carry out the ceremony of naming and identifying the rightful children of the Kabaka). It is a traditional DNA test to corfirm the child’s paternity and ancestry. This is a very critical stage King Oyo missed that is causing all the problems. Why didn’t he introduce his child to the Omusuga if he had one?

Uganda cannot afford a bloated Parliament of over 500 MPs for a population of 45-50 million. The Old Man of the Clan, Andrew M. Mwenda, is right: we must drastically reduce the number of MPs ideally to one per district (around 146) plus targeted women representatives to slash wasteful expenditure on salaries, allowances, cars, and perks. This money should fund real priorities like healthcare (malaria kills dozens daily), roads, education, and security. A leaner Parliament of Uganda would improve deliberation, reduce patronage politics, and force MPs to focus on national issues rather than hyper-local demands. Oversized legislatures burden taxpayers without delivering proportional results. It’s time for serious reform, fiscal responsibility and better governance demand it. Thank you
