The biggest challenge we face is from the UDA-allied MCAs, who have deliberately sworn to punish the people of Machakos by frustrating service delivery. I am ready to dialogue with Machakos Gen Zs. I know many of them are jobless and the economy is not favourable. It's sad that some politicians have been ferrying young people from outside Machakos to cause chaos and destruction. I urge all youths in Machakos to maintain peace even as they agitate for their rights and not to accept any invitation to engage in criminal activities.

There is an evil wave sweeping across this country and its largely targeting women leaders. Myself and my fellow women governors; H.E Gladys Wanga, H.E Susan Kihika, H.E Cecily Mbarire are victims of these attacks. We will not be silenced, we will not retreat because we stand for change, we stand for progress and we stand for a better future for our people. There is also an alarming trend of femicide that is stripping women of their most basic right - the right to live. Let me remind everyone in this country that life is sacred and people’s lives belong to them and no one has the right to take them.
