During this week’s cleanup we found a 9-month-old baby & mom living in a tent in the park. Mom has already cycled through the best family shelter programs in the county… yet she’s still on the streets. Immediate needs: clothes, food & diapers. She wants a low-barrier (illegal drugs allowed) tiny home. Multiple agencies referred her to the cities’s Unified Care Team. Pallet Shelters are literally across the street. We’ll make daily contact & neighbors are stepping up. This is why “housing first” fails families. Treatment & accountability first saves lives. Mayor Katie B. My friend can’t sell or rent her Seattle home, now stuck across the street from a DESC low-barrier property overrun with dealing and prostitution. This is what ‘Housing First’ does: it doesn’t help people, it destroys neighborhoods and wipes out families’ life savings. Low-barrier disasters kill communities. We need treatment-first with real accountability. Enough. Former tent dwelling drug addict and now Case Manager for We Heart testifies that allowing him to camp in a park prolonged his addiction. As a Case Manager he witnessed an addicted mom and baby girl live unsafely in a park👇🏼Cops need a camping ban to enforce laws safely and urgently.

A woman hadn’t left her box truck in over 3 years. Her garbage and human waste buckets were no longer being slipped through her door for her homeless neighbor to collect and dispose. He asked me for help. After she refused all services, we called for a wellness check today. First time in 5+ years I’ve seen someone with severe mental illness taken against their will. How bad does it have to get? This bad 👇Thank You Seattle Police Department Seattle Fire Dept.

Watch for yourself what “affordable housing” or “housing first” looks like in Seattle. Rosa hasn’t slept in her apartment in over a year and instead lives on the streets where we met. She invited me into her home to see why she doesn’t sleep there. DESC a 100M NPO keeps building more and more housing projects without first investing in the need for supportive services they claim to offer (and on your tax paying dollar). 👇🏼Rosa is educating voters and I hope you listen to her. Breaking: Suspect shooter on the loose hiding in Mt. Baker encampments. He’s wearing a red sweatshirt and red headphones with unfinished arm tats. Shooting was from the other day. This is why we BAN CAMPING! Seattle Police Department shouldn’t have to draw weapons and play hide and seek with criminals. Seattle City Council BAN CAMPING!

This is Permanent Supportive “Housing First” in Seattle on full display. Just three weeks ago, (intellectually disabled) Jacob was placed in a brand new DESC Housing project and has been assaulted, offered illegal drugs, and harassed by drug addicted and violent neighbors. Listen to Jacob plead to Mayor Katie B. Wilson that policies need to change. Department of Housing and Urban Development Soledad Ursua Scott Turner T Wolf 🌁 King County Executive Girmay Zahilay DESC We are now working with Jacob to connect back to Mom and Grandma in Missouri where he came just a few short months ago. Seattle City Council We don’t just have a county responsibility issue we have other state residents coming to “Freeattle”. Look at the harm inflicted on Jacob.

Another Seattle small business robbed. City hands out $5K per incident for storefront repairs + a $10K one-time grant for security cameras. That’s $25K + in taxpayer dollars while the business is shut down for days, bleeding revenue. Taxpayers and small businesses both get hit hard. We’re throwing money at the damage instead of the root cause: zero consequences for low-level crimes. Prosecutors, judges, and agencies aren’t aligned. This has to stop. Real accountability now. As follow up to KOMO News Joel Moreno City Hall coverage on Drug Possession Laws listen to Andrea Suarez and Homeless Drug Addict Cory Rattleff testify about the enabling culture in Seattle and ways to pivot to Recovery Oriented policy. Cory represents thousands of men and women in recovery who were held accountable not “slapped on the wrist”.

50 times stronger and 50 times cheaper with Fentanyl you can get a heroin high for the cost of a piece of licorice and as a warning to parents, you can now get a suicide kit, handed out to your children with no questions asked. Any, and all distribution of these types of drug paraphernalia should be outlawed. Department of Government Efficiency Elon Musk King County Council Public Health - Seattle & King County

I led Fox News digital through four Seattle parks recently and showcased the harm open air drug scenes have on the community. The human suffering and environmental decimation was shocking to them. The foil that our government hands out to addicts to smoke fentanyl pollutes our shared spaces. Full article in comments.

Another day on notorious 3rd & Pine while walking home. One guy wielding a shovel, the other a giant knife. Good police presence and active arrests happening right there. This scary behavior is out of control. We need real consequences and accountability 😰enough is enough. Seattle deserves safer streets. Mayor Katie B. Wilson Turn on more cameras.

This is deeply personal. For years we gave Michelle everything: case management, friendship, community, even restoring her stable housing. She still battles severe mental illness and keeps choosing the sidewalk tent. She says we abandoned her. We didn’t. Policymakers did. This is why good social workers burn out and quit. We have boundaries too. Compassionate intervention isn’t cruelty, it’s the only thing left. Mayor Katie B. Wilson Seattle City Council Seattle Police Department What is your plan for the drug-addicted, mentally ill, service-resistant population? Enough is enough.

Brave 18-year-old Destiny chased me down in the heart of Belltown’s notorious open-air drug market to speak out against the dealers and the predatory chaos destroying our streets. These markets target teens. Destiny is clear: Shut them down and make fentanyl possession a felony. Our kids deserve better. Time for real consequences. Mayor Katie B. A late night trying to get this 18-year-old girl — arrested for fentanyl possession — into a safe stay, medical detox, and recovery path. The plan was ready… until LEAD (Law Enforcement Assisted Diversion) had to get involved. She took off. This is why we keep losing kids to these streets. We need treatment FIRST not more programs that let them walk away. Watch how the system breaks down. 😰 Seattle City Attorney's Office Mayor Katie B. Wilson There has to be teeth to these diversion programs.

🚨 Watch these moms bring their little kids to Lewis Park, one of Seattle’s worst open-air drug scenes and openly hit meth pipes right in front of their young girls and boys. This is what “no consequences” looks like. Use and possession? Just a toothless LEAD referral that drops charges and sets them free. Seattle has become the place you come to score drugs in the park while children watch. This is an outrage. Our kids deserve better. Mayor Katie B. Wilson What about protecting the kids?

NEW! The Mayor Katie B. Wilson just postponed indefinitely the first scheduled encampment sweep under her leadership. People in these tents need intervention to treat addiction and mental illness. I hope our new mayor can see for her own eyes this isn’t a shelter or housing crisis and act compassionately and urgently. There are places to go, to treat, to house with pathways to self-sufficiency.

This week Mayor Katie B. Wilson announced she would no longer tolerate open drug markets and stolen goods in the Chinese International District and North Beacon Hill. Tonight I saw the immediate impact firsthand. I met the dedicated lead officers working the 90-day emphasis and two sergeants who invited me on future ride-alongs to support outreach and treatment efforts. 👏🏼👏🏼 After a tough week, witnessing arrests of people passed out on drugs gave me real hope that lives will be saved and our parks will be restored. Great job Seattle Police Department Seattle Police Officers Guild But will the criminal justice system work the way it’s intended?

Exclusive footage was handed to me from a tenant inside his Tiny Home where he smokes illegal fentanyl and meth with his friends. Tiny Home Shelter Villages are low-barrier, anything goes, use and dealing of drugs with NO requirement to use the on sight services. Wilson and King County Executive Girmay Zahilay I have some solutions! Watch! Seattle City Council
