This is Permanent Supportive “Housing First” in Seattle on full display. Just three weeks ago, (intellectually disabled) Jacob was placed in a brand new DESC Housing project and has been assaulted, offered illegal drugs, and harassed by drug addicted and violent neighbors. Put all our addicts and mentally challenged in the same building and encourage them to keep using drugs. And we think they are the crazy ones?

Yet chronic pain pts were denied their meds because of the "opioid crisis" but illicit fentanyl is A-OK with our politicians. This was their plan to rid society of 2 groups of ppl they deem as useless eaters and turn the country into Venezuela 2.0. @PamelaSOCFEN

"Human rights if you're a decent fucking human." If that isn't a Slingblade "It ain't got no gas in it." moment, I just don't know what is. Intellectually challenged but smarter than 95% of the Seattle government.

@MayorofSeattle is going to be very upset. She prefers the safety of Excel spreadsheets where she can pretend crime is down and Seattle is great. How did we end up like this? 🤦🏼‍♂️

@Twolfrecovery And when you complain or whistleblow ur harassed even more and by owners. They try to evict you or make life unbearable. Managers live on property or are friends and play music on speakers all day cops cant get them to stop because it is owners responsibility.

The dude with intellectual disability has a better head on his shoulders than the politicians there. That's wild.

At 1:17, I couldn't help but notice the guy dashing across Aurora, and at nightime. He's lucky he didn't become a statistic in our ballyhooed Vision Zero program.

@Twolfrecovery It’s like placing a stage 1 cancer patient into a cancer institute and just keeping them as comfortable as possible until they die, but not treating them when treatment is readily available

It's the same in SF. I live in an SRO and my husband and I are the only sober ones here. My next door neighbor was arrested in February for multiple counts of rape and kidnapping and his stuff is still in the room, they haven't started the eviction process, he's still in jail

Seattle would be much better off if this man was the mayor, and the mayor was in DESC housing.

The left thinks they’re compassionate but their lack of leadership simply creates a power vaccuum that empowers bullies. Whether thats an addict robbing a small business or someone mentally ill physically assaulting another in these embarassing atrocities they call "housing".

@Twolfrecovery At first I thought the other guy was the disabled one until I realized his face is most likely like that from either hitting a nerve while shooting up in his neck or a stroke caused by drug use. Lovely

Well, my building (DDH-Belltown) is also Permanent Supportive Housing; but residents must be able to live independently; and applicants w/ a drug history must have 6 months' clean time to be approved. It's not painless or utopian, but we've made it work for 27 years... ✌️

"intellectually disabled" . why you stupid, oops, i mean, intellectually disabled dingleberries have to make up obscuring euphemisms for everyday shit ? ? ? . it is a form of lying, if you didn't realize it, but i don't think you care about YOUR OWN LIES, only other's... . odd...
