Shorter than what I expected it to be but man is the animation here just fantastic and it’s refreshingly more chill rather than just trying to go all in on the first episode. Kinda reminds me of Planetronika’s pilot where it’s more about the style and vibes. Also, THIS SHOT:

There’s a Tom and Jerry x Converse collab going on and to advertise it they released this fifteen second animation that looks like the later seasons of The Tom and Jerry Show but with actual fluid animation. It’s like “Hey, here’s what you COULD’VE gotten if WB wasn’t stingy!”

Leave it to Double Toasted to be the ones to actually have common sense when it comes to reacting to Shrek 5’s character designs.

John Powell had no fucking right delivering a score THIS beautiful for a Minions movie. You gotta have a heart of stone to not get swept up in this, especially with what scene the score is paired with in the movie. Just. WOW.

No one will convince me this entire sequence wasn’t a great bit of slapstick/visual comedy. Whoever storyboarded this did fantastic work with playing with the setting and the facial expressions of Francis. This was different from the brand of slapstick you see the Minions do.

All of you who have been bitching, moaning and spreading misinformation about Glitch while complaining about their spot in indie spear should be taking that time and energy to push and support Patrick Foxy. Why haven’t more eyes been on this?? A pilot is coming next month.

Pierre acknowledging some of the criticisms of the second half of Minions and Monsters people seem to not love as much as the first half. Man, it’s so weird yet refreshing to see a director, especially from Illumination, being so honest when it comes to the movies he’s done.

This sequence will go down in history as one of Daffy’s best moments in the entirety of Looney Tunes. This is a level of insanity from him that hasn’t been pushed to this level since his first appearance in Porky’s Duck Hunt where he bounced around the end title. Glorious.

Anyways, here’s a scene from The Plankton Movie, a movie made by actual artists and animators who put time and effort into the film, doing a far better job at a Fleischer/1930’s rubber hose cartoon style.

No joke, Lamput is genuinely one of the best slapstick cartoons of the 2010’s. I’ve said this before, but I don’t think there was a cartoon that I personally felt could was a true spiritual successor to Tom and Jerry until this. THIS is masterful, aspiring visual comedy.

Eh, fuck it. This episode is too godly to not post again. Here’s the entirety of the phenomenal “Go Fetch!” SpongeBob short.

We really don’t get nearly enough animated commercials that look on par with a feature film as much as we used to. It was noticeably a lot of the cereal commercials that looked so high quality. Like this Frosted Flakes commercial plays like a theatrical short.

I know Daffy’s Rhapsody gets a ton of praise when it comes to the Reel FX Looney Tunes shorts but honestly I think I Tawt I Taw A Puddy Cat deserves just as much recognition because it basically laid the groundwork in a lot of ways for the former.

Now is the perfect time to make it once again known that we were gonna get a theatrical PG-13 Looney Tunes short called “Your Bunny Or Your Life” that actually addressed Bugs’s racist past but it was eventually repurposed into a PG short for the series Wabbit.

Holy. Shit. This is just straight up an honest to god, 100% genuine Wile E. Coyote and Road Runner short with PHENOMENAL animation by Hayk Manukyan. Teen Titans Go has so much creative freedom they’re now just having other WB properties in the show and just playing it straight.

He went out of his way to make sure no one could figure out he was Yoshi lmao.
