After getting back from two storming gigs in Glasgow, what am I to do? A night out with a few of my mates we went to see Echoes of the Bunnymen tribute band at the Continental in Preston It was so weird watching from the crowd. The band did a great job and the sound was pretty authentic. And the whole set was bathed in a smokey Heaven Up Here blue. They played a couple of my favourites that we don't play... Turquoise Days and The Puppet. What struck me more than anything was how good the songs are. If you see them on anywhere go check them out. EATB Performed by members of the Preston legends. The Amber List and on bass Scott Carey. Thank you chaps!

New and old LPs delivered to Fuzz HQ over the last few days — top left to right: 1.Rebelski – Algorithms. Beautiful minimalist piano bathed in a gloriously glistening synthetic ocean. Rebelski 2.Shipwreck — modular synths guided by The Utopia Strong’s Steve Davis and his mate Gaz Williams. Top-notch knob-twiddling! 3.Fall-Stones. An odd one — a mash-up of The Fall and later-era Stones riffs. Jagger out, M.E.S. in. 4.Dead Goat, hailing from the northern reaches of the Emerald Isle. Four musical mates doing it for all the right reasons. In a word: JOY. 5.Marquee Moon — my all-time favourite record. This edition from a few years back: double LP in blue with extra tracks. Thanks to Marc Riley ⚽️🍺🐳 for the heads-up… had to trawl Discogs for a copy though. 6.British Stereo Collective Vol. 2. Will be seeking out Vol. 1 — no mistake. Electronic idents and er ...TV show themes inspired by telly of a bygone age. The British Stereo Collective/Phil Heeks Fine listening ahead.

Jesus Mary and Joeseph! Mick Head and the Red Elastic Band (ensemble) played their hearts out last night at the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall. You could almost see the Love emanating from the crowd like a pure golden fog. Everyone went home with lives much improved. I had the honour of diving into that glorious maelstrom for a brief wig out. Brilliant! Thank you! Michael Head Official

Great Neu Music Club night at the Kas Social, in the mighty metropolis of Ormskirk. Live music provided by Mark Peters (formally Engineers) aided by his bass playing mate Dean. Like a tripped out Hank Marvin, he forged a sonic landscape into a lip smacking wall of Eno-licious sound syrup with krautrock croutons. (or words to that effect) Recommended.

Spud done good! He took my sad old battered 196? GT-75 Martin, car paint flaking off Semi Acoustic. Stripped the crappy spray paint off to reveal lovely maple wood. Transformed it into a great looking guitar. Last minute addition of a roller bridge helped the thing stay in tune, when going to town on the whammy bar

Our friends AV8 Records Ltd #MDANT have done it again! Doused in a (North) West Coast multicoloured mist sunstack jones new LP ‘Luminous Hands’ has been glued to my deck like a Just Stop Oil protesters face is glued to the tarmac. The sound is in-prisoned in beautiful transparent vinyl - only 500 copies. Also available in CD format, just 200 copies up for grabs, so move quick before it becomes as Elusive as Sasquatch when it’s his turn to get the ale in.

Seattle images from the top of my hotel. Such a great creative city love it. We were a little bit far out from the action, but had a boss scoot about on a Lime Scooter. Not quite my Lambretta but feels good to zoom along the streets like the Silver Surfer.

Out in Liverpool tonight with friends old and new. All here to see Kelley Stoltz and his band. A sold out Kazimier Stock room hung thick with Liverpool love, sweat and beers. Songs were immaculate. Kelley should be a household name!!! An in all a brilliant night out.

Went to see Masive Attack last night, teamed up with Peasy, East Easy Rider and Flo. Great night was had by all. Nice to see Damon Reece on his magnificent perspex drum kit and Liz Fraser voice perfect as usual. My body is still throbbing from the bass end.

Really cracking into book three now that all the touring is over. Had a few ideas for a title but nothing concrete yet. I need to do quite a bit of research and make sure the dates and my memory are correct. Been playing a bit of Alice Cooper to help out this morning.
