"It was a different time". Well done Women’s Rights Network- Greater Manchester's Cath Dyson 👏 for asking the question of former Australian PM Julia Gillard. Not a hint of regret from Gillard in her answer, but a clear admission that she didn't foresee any of the consequences of her horrendous actions in erasing women's and girls' rights. No one raised this apparently. Gosh, how on earth could she have possibly then be expected to anticipate the outcome? (sarcasm) Sall Grover

🧵 URGENT 1/4 We have reported this man - a convicted torturer and kidnapper, who is on probation - for committing a Public Order offence. We will not stand by while men like him threaten us or demand access to our single-sex spaces. #WarOnWomen #StopViolenceAgainstWomen

While we enjoyed the discussion on Bulletin Politics Live today, this contribution by Samantha Niblett MP MP raised our collective eyebrows. ❓Who are all these 'anti-trans rights' organisations she refers to? ❓Surely she isn't framing women's and girls' rights in this way? ❓Would she like to name them? ❓And if not, why not?

The repercussions for women when they speak up about men in their private spaces can be terrifying. No wonder many women stay silent out of fear. Here's Bethany of the Darlington Nursing Union telling us about how they were labelled 'troublemakers', were punished, intimidated and in fear of losing their jobs. Link to full interview here:

Parkrun got it so very wrong says ultra-runner Sophie Power. It’s one of the best health initiatives ever to come out of this country but people like to compare their scores with other people of their own age and sex - ie male and female. Sophie describes her parkrun experiences during pregnancy, with young children and as a super-fit ultra-runner - truly inclusive. Listen to the full interview on our YouTube channel.

Male footballer bites an opponent - 10 Match Ban Female footballer calls a man a man - 10 Match Ban The case of a THIRD female footballer punished for stating that a man is indeed a man has yet again highlighted the gross misogyny at the heart of the The FA. In the latest case, a female player reportedly received a 10-match ban for shouting ‘go on big man’ at the male footballer Blair Hamilton. Hamilton is the 6-foot tall male who has played on the England women’s university team, Hastings United, and Saltdean Women, and was also picked as substitute goalie for Sutton United Women’s team by their male manager Lucy Clark. This third case of the FA punishing a female player for stating the truth has emerged in an interview with Hamilton on the 'Football versus Homophobia' podcast, which was broadcast in March 2024. Hamilton describes a ‘red mist’ descending when he was called a man, which led to him making a formal complaint to the FA. The FA duly obliged by hauling the unknown female player through its disciplinary process and banning her from her sport, says Hamilton. This is the same punishment meted out to former Liverpool striker Luis Suarez for biting an opponent in 2013. The latest case of female players being punished for stating the obvious follows the cases of two teenage girls, who were brought before the FA’s National Serious Case Panels and handed out match bans for saying what they were seeing – men on the pitch. Despite FA charges, outcomes, and fines being published on a monthly basis, these cases don’t appear on the FA website. Why is that? How many other players, fans or clubs have been sanctioned for calling out men playing in the women’s game? What is being hidden from us? The FA is discriminating against women and girls by allowing males into the female game. Then further discriminating by handing out excessive punishments when this unfairness (and the truth) is called out. It's a means to silence women and prohibit any further challenge. We call on the FA and Lisa Nandy MP, the Secretary of State for Sport to make football fair for females. No males in the female game.

Parkrun CEO Russ Jefferys broke cover on BBC Radio 5 Live to defend the removal of results listings from the parkrun UK website. ‘The criticism we faced from the Women’s Rights Network and others is down to a total misunderstanding of what parkrun is. It is not a race. It is not a competitive event,’ he told the nation. We weren’t invited to give our side so here it is…

We recently had the very great pleasure of speaking with two of the utterly brilliant and brave Darlington nurses Darlington Nursing Union Here's Bethany, telling us what we know (but many MPs clearly don't!) Good to see this discussion of the EHRC Code on BBC Politics live today. We particularly enjoyed this excellent contribution by Rosa Prince. ✔️A reasonably neutral and interested presenter Vicki Young ✔️A balance of panel members ✔️Good to hear mainstream opinion presented ❌But ... still presented as a 'trans' issue - rather than women's rights.

Tonight a woman steps into the ring for the Women’s Welterweight boxing final to decide the Gold medal. She fights a boxer with ‘Male Karyotype’, XY chromosomes, a male. Tomorrow another woman fights a male in the Women’s Featherweight final. IOC MEDIA has sanctioned male violence against women in the name of sport. Women’s Rights Network stands with all the women failed by the IOC policy that puts inclusion of males above the safety of women. #SaveWomensSport #XX

An excellent round-up of the controversy over males in female sport on BBC Woman's Hour this morning. Sports Editor Dan Roan explained the issues with clarity and detail ahead of the introduction, next week, of mandatory female sex-verification by World Athletics And you could have knocked us down with a feather when Dan clearly stated that the top three medallists in the 800m women’s race at the Rio Olympics were males with Differences of Sexual Development. The first time the BBC has stated this? We’re sure Melissa Bishop, Joanna Jozwik and Lynsey Sharp, the rightful Gold, Silver and Bronze medal winners, are mightily comforted by the fact that BBC is at last recognising that they were cheated out of their medals. Ultimately, reported Dan, the test is needed to ensure the integrity of female sports by keeping anyone with male physiological advantages out of the female category. The boxing farce at Paris 2024, was acknowledged as a turning point and the ‘direction of travel’ is now towards sex verification in all sports. IOC MEDIA we’re waiting …

CRIME ALERT: From 1pm TODAY broadcast live on Sky Sports: a man will be stealing up to £10,000 prize money and kudos that belongs to women in a FLAGRANT breach of the Equality Act 2010. PREVIOUS CRIMES: THEFT of £16,200 of women’s darts prize money (2024-25) PERPETRATOR: Noa-Lynn van Leuven (male) aided and abetted by the Professional Darts Company, Sky Sports and Betfred The Dutch man van Leuven takes his place alongside seven of the world’s TOP female darts players at Blackpool’s Winter Garden. One woman is missing because van Leuven (who is seeded second in the tournament) has taken a place on the women’s team. The competitors in the 2025 Betfred Women’s World Matchplay are the top eight female darts players based on the prize money they have accrued over the previous 12 months in the Matchplay Series. Top is Beau Greaves (earnings £33,800), van Leuven is in second place with £16,200 of ill-gotten gains that belong to women. As an aside the top women’s prize of £10,000 pales into insignificance compared with the £200,000 top prize in the Open Matchplay tournament for the top men (and any woman who can break through). The PDC Darts knows it’s breaking the law because WRN has written to CEO Matthew Porter several times (no replies). We’re willing to lay a wager that the sponsors Betfred know the law is being broken. The broadcaster Sky Sports knows the law is being broken but they’re so far up the gender woo back alley they don’t care. It’s been 102 days since the Supreme Court clarified that in law the word woman means biological female. Why is PDC continuing to break the law? Could the PDC have a woman problem… maybe when you list 34 PDC personnel on your website and only ONE (the Head of Admin) is a woman, then you might not be living in the real world where 51% of the population is female. PDC… you’re on borrowed time. The LAW is the LAW and you’re breaking it. Darts is big money nowadays so we’re sure you have a fighting fund ready for the sex discrimination cases coming your way. Just sayin’…

Report from Lausanne, Switzerland, Capital of the Olympics 🧵 20 March 2025 will be a turning point in women’s sport. The new President of the International Olympic Committee will be elected. Top of their ‘to-do’ list is to sort out women’s sport, which has been steadily destroyed under the current president Thomas Bach, who retires in June. WRN Sports Group members visited IOC MEDIA HQ in Lausanne to deliver, in person, a retirement present to Mr Bach. Our gift of a Wooden Spoon and a commemorative WRN certificate was for ‘outstanding contribution to the destruction of women’s sport and ideological capture of the IOC’. We explain, in this clip, why we felt it was so important to deliver the message in person . . . 1/3
