Footage taken from an Apache as U.S. Special Forces take fire on target and decide to breach a door of the compound. In doing so they manage to blow a militants corpse into the air and it lands mere feet from some of the soldiers. I added Tom Petty’s Free Fallin’ as he flies through the air because it seemed fitting

U.S. Navy sailors on what I believe to be an Ohio-Class submarine have some fun while maintaining their balance as the sub does a 29 degree up angle towards the surface. My understanding is that 30 degrees is the maximum peacetime angle of ascent or descent that these subs can take. However, just like their maximum operating depths are classified, I am sure that these ships can take a steeper angles and those angles will never be published to protect the capabilities of the subs. Judging by the quality of the video it was filmed in the mid 2000s.

An F-14A Tomcat lands on a U.S. aircraft carrier and the tail hook breaks. The aircraft goes off the end of the deck and starts falling to the water. The pilot selects full afterburners to save the jet but it looks like the RIO initiates the ejection sequence. You can see both seats fire and the jet……keeps flying. The sudden loss of weight off the nose, as well as the full afterburners allow the nose of the jet to rise and the aircraft attains a positive rate. This has been documented a couple times before where the ejection actually saves the aircraft, notably in this incident, an incident with an A-6E intruder, and another involving an F-106 Delta Dart where the ejection actually saved the aircraft from a flat spin. If anyone knows what ship this is, and when exactly this particular incident took place that would be most appreciated.

A U.S. Army AH-64 Apache does a low pass over the taxiway at Kabul International Airport to coax Afghans away from the runway as C-17s prepare for takeoff during the 2021 evacuation from Afghanistan. This obviously didn’t really work given that there are videos of these guys running alongside taxiing C-17s. 20 years in Afghanistan and leaving with the same government in charge. When I get older I’m sure it’s going to be referred to just like Vietnam.

U.S. Marine recruits meet their drill instructors for the first time at MCRD Parris Island in 1987. Definitely one of the more subdued first speeches I have seen a Senior Drill Instructor give. My father went through MCRD Parris Island back in the Summer of 1984 so I like to think that this is what he may have experienced.

Footage from a Ukrainian MiG 29 approaching his target on the Eastern Front of Ukraine while flying low and fast. Most Ukrainian air support is limited to dropping glide bombs several miles from their targets, or employing NATO made standoff weapons from distance. Glide bombs are employed by flying low and fast approaching a predetermined drop point. At the drop point you pitch the aircraft up sharply and drop the bombs which allows them to “glide” several miles to their targets. Air to Air engagements don’t happen frequently due to the scarcity of Ukrainian fighter aircraft, the extensive Russian air defense network, and the employment of drones by both sides.

A compilation of Ukrainian FPV drones hitting their Russian targets. You can see how human nature to survive shows through in some instances. Throwing rifles at the drones, shooting at the drones, using clothes to shield oneself. At this point, if one of these things sees you, you had better be a good shot and have a shotgun on hand. Other than that you basically have no chance.
