$This is still, by far, the weirdest thing I have ever seen on radar. I still have almost no clue what is going on here. Towards the end it looks like whatever it's detecting "stretches" to the south.. almost like it's dealing with some ridiculous super-refraction that suddenly resolves. Any smart radar people have ANY ideas here?$

The greatest atmospheric ballet... simply air and moisture doing their duty. Seen here is perhaps the most beautiful NEXRAD radar loop I can possibly produce.. A near-endless stream of larger-scale, swirly, "radargenic" mesovortices rolling southward along a convergence boundary atop lake Michigan. One of the prettiest things our atmosphere can produce, and it just kept on doing it for hours upon hours! This radar loop covers approximately 14 hours, throughout 2024/01/19, starting at approximately 07z and ending around 21z. Longest loop I've made so far with the new python script! And probably my favorite...

Storm-following loop of a highly tornadic Griffin-esque bookend vortex/mesovortex that went through the KNQA area. Numerous tornadoes spawned by this system, some of which had pretty hefty TDS's. One of the most interesting bits is where the debris from the first few tornadoes looks to get caught in the mesocyclone of the prime supercell, and swirls around for almost an hour!

Storm-following loops of the dramatic upscale growth of a line of storms in western ND that would go on to become an extreme high-end squall line and wake low/sting jet that produced numerous wind reports over 100 MPH last night. Some strong tornadoes can be seen in the loop but this focuses on the squall's lifecycle and progression. Included a reflectivity only version just in case the dual panel loop gets too cooked by Twitter's algorithm.

Storm-following birth-to-death loop of the supercell that produced the London/Somerset, KY tornadoes last night. This is a re-upload since the algorithm obliterated the 4-panel loop beyond recognition, I think with only two products the compression may be less harsh.
